Old tired hotel, rooms in need of refurbishment.

The Plaza is in a good location, the staff are excellent especially Jacey, the brunch is very good but be prepared to wait as it is popular. The rooms are not good they are in need of complete refurbishment and the plumbing is dire. We changed rooms four times, the first room was dirty, the second room the same but had a hole in the floor that was badly repaired and dangerous, and both had no carpet! The third room had a carpet but the sink was full of black filth and blocked, maintenance could not fix it so we were given a room on the ground floor which was just acceptable but still very poor. The staff were excellent and did all they could to compensate us, but the owners should be the ones front of house and receive criticism for the state of their hotel and not leave it to front of house. The location is excellent for bronze Fonz, Riverwalk and veterans Park. Sorry but cannot recommend this hotel due to the condition of the rooms.
