Nice property but issues with golf carts
The house we stayed in was very clean and exceeded our expectations. Plenty of bathrooms for our whole party. The beds were confortable and there was ample towels in every bathroom. The provided beach chairs, umbrella, cooler and toys were an added plus. The only complaint our party had was regarding the golf carts. We rented this particular unit because it had a 6 seater and 4 seater golf cart. When we arrived, only the 4 seater was at the residence. We immediately called and didn’t get an answer as to why it was not there. I called back 2 additional times on two additional days. On our third day of vacation, we finally got answers and the 6 seater cart showed up around 2pm. It was in the shop for repairs. This would have been nice to know ahead of time since MyVacationHaven knew we were arriving and the cart was not at the residence. With 8 people in our party, only having a 4 seater cart was an inconvenience. However, this was our only complaint throughout our stay.

Loved this property. Highly recommend.
This is our fourth house rental in the area, and this was by far the best. Well maintained and well stocked with kitchen equipment. The mattresses were quite comfortable. The management company was very responsive to our needs. Loved the toiletries provided that even included aloe gel for those post-beach days. We had a great time and would definitely come back.

Great Family Getaway
We appreciated the amenities and the cleanliness of the home. Tile floors throughout were a plus for our family of 7, and bedroom layouts worked well. We enjoyed having 2 golf carts for our group with older kids. Management was responsive when we had an issue with one of the golf carts (turned out to be our fault in lack of charging properly but they gladly and quickly helped us fix it). Enjoyed the beach and the Baytowne area. Would definitely stay here again!

new location for us
we have always stayed in condos so a house was new for us. we have also never stayed this far away from a beach. that was the biggest downside for us. you can use the golf carts to get to the beach but it was very crowded with reserved umbrellas and chairs and it is about a 20 minute ride there. we ended up driving to grayton beach each day which was less crowded and no reserved spaces. other than beach access we loved the quiet community, the golf carts were fun, the home was perfect for our two families, and i enjoyed walking each morning in the neighborhood.

The house was big enough for our 3 families. Each adult bedroom has a private bathroom and the kids bunk room has a bathroom across the hall. A few days into our stay the kids’ shower broke and someone came out right away but we weren’t able to use it for the rest of our stay. Inconvenient, but not that huge of a deal. Property has access to a couple pools, one just a few houses down. The golf carts were great! Room for everyone and you can take them anywhere- beach, restaurants, shopping, Publix. Two cars are allowed in the driveway but there are several areas within the neighborhood to park.

The house was great. The location fabulous as always. I was disappointed actually in myself not reading or understanding the 3rd party that we booked with. So when we decided to play tennis or anything extra in the Resort we had to pay a lot to enjoy the amenities. Very disappointed that my kids could not enjoy a game of tennis which normally is free have to pay $17 for an hour each to play a game they always enjoy when in Sandestin. Other than that we truely loved the property. We will book thru Sandestin next year not 3rd party or will find elsewhere.

Great location, quiet, family friendly, needs a little extra TLC to get 5 stars!!
This property is in a great location, in a wonderful community. Very secure and friendly area. Shops are close by. Golf carts are the primary means of getting around and the easiest. Grounds are very well maintained. Having stayed in many wonderful rental properties, I’ll be honest and cut to the chase on this unit. It wasn’t as clean as most properties I have stayed in. There were balls of dust/hair in several places on the floors, both kitchen and in bedrooms. The bed spread in the upstairs master bedroom had dog hair all over it. We have a dog (we did not bring), so I get it and it didn’t bother us too much, but this can be prevented and if you weren’t a dog person, I could see it being an issue. Golf carts are great for getting around. The day we checked in, one cart had a flat tire. I called and was told to send a picture of it and not to drive it, then told someone could ‘probably’ come out the next day to take a look. We had 9 people in our party to move around so that was disappointing. We ended up driving to Walmart in town and buying a compressor to reinflate the tire ourselves. We had to pump up the tire several times during the stay. We told the property manager this needs to be addressed but the next tenant may show up and find the tire flat. The front door of this property is incredibly hard to open and close. Humidity/rain maybe made the door swell, but it was the hardest door to get open ever - literally bruised a shoulder and hip jamming it. Kids in our group could not manage it. Soap dish in downstairs Master shower was broken and sitting on tub surround when we got there, sharp pieces sitting in the open. Freezer/ice maker also wasn’t working well, water leaked down into the fridge area. A few normal amenities were missing. There were no pot holders at all for pulling things out of the oven. We thought there would be an initial sample coffee and filter but there was nothing. There was starter paper towels, toilet paper, dish washer and laundry detergent. Plenty of dishes and cookware. Plenty of fresh towels. Beach chairs, umbrellas and floaties were nice! The 4pm check in rule is overly strict. We arrived 1/2 hour early and sat outside in the heat for 30 mins. Clearly no one there at all, place was long since cleaned and ready. When I asked if we could go in after 12 long hours of travel for some of us, we were told no due to door coding. Property management agents were nice and pleasant on phone.

Weekend Getaway in Villa Lago
Our weekend getaway was nothing short of amazing. The home was even more beautiful than the pictures. It was very clean and we had everything we needed. I give this vacation home 5 stars all the way!
