The relaxed furnishings create a warm and inviting atmosphere. The open plan kitchen and living area extend onto the beachside pavilion. Open the bi -fold doors from the living area to the pavilion and enjoy the free flow feeling with spectacular views across the stunning Coral Sea to Dunk Island.

There are 2 queen bedrooms (one ensuited) both opening on to the beachside pavilion. The third bedroom offers 2 single beds. Enjoy the beauty of being lulled to sleep day or night by the sound of the waves as you enjoy your tropical escape. If air conditioning is your preference, it is there for you.

The protected private swimming pool is surrounded by lush tropical gardens. Lazing around the pool reading your favourite novel or just playing with the children will have all those daily stresses disappear in no time. The gardens around the pool are a treat as you are sure to see a Ulysses Butterfly or two and even the impressive Cairns Bird Wing Butterflies.

For those of you who enjoy starting your day in relaxed way use the Tropika yoga mat and bolster for a morning salute to the rising sun over Dunk Island. ....

Getting to Mission Beach

Mission Beach is located on the Great Green Way, Tropical North Queensland coast in Australia between the northern cities of Cairns and Townsville. The drive to Mission Beach from either Cairns or Townsville takes you through the heart of the region and can be an adventure in itself. From the main highway and into Mission Beach proper you directly travel through World Heritage listed rainforest.

Mission Beach is approx. 2.5 to 3 hours drive from Townsville. Turn off at the Bruce Highway north of Tully and it is approx 26 km to Mission Beach. If you are wishing to hire a car in Townsville - Avis, Budget or Hertz are the only companies that you will be able to use.

From Cairns it is approx. 1.5 to 2 hours drive. Turn off at the Bruce Highway at El Arish (opposite El Arish Golf Course) and follow Cassowary Drive into Mission Beach approx. 16kms.

Sugarland Car Rentals has an office in Cairns and Mission Beach. They are happy to hire vehicles on a one way basis, i.e. from Cairns to Mission Beach.

The choices abound - Tandem Sky Dive onto Mission Beach, White Water Raft down the Tully River, Snorkel or Dive the Great Barrier Reef, Fish on the Great Barrier Reef, Kayak over to Dunk Island, enjoy an Island Cruise, End the Day doing a Sunset Sail, take a Walk on one of the many Rainforrest Walking Tracks and spot a Cassowary, Play a Round of Golf.

Take a drive to one of the many waterfalls or enjoy a day discovering The Atherton Tablelands.

If relaxation is more your style what could be better than sitting under the beachside pavillion at Tropika with a good book and a cool drink, followed by alfresco dining, enjoying the warm balmy night with the moon rising above the ocean in front of you, or sample the tasty menus at one of tour great restaurants.
