Really nice new property in the heart of Carmel village. Steps to Ocean Avenue and surrounding shops and restaurants. Property is upscale, with many outdoor fireplaces, comfortable outdoor sofas, fountains, and lots of greenery. Staff is exceptionally friendly, rooms are small but comfortable, and the free breakfast is well above the usual buffet style offerings.

Exceptional for the price. But so is Carmel city itself. The staff were helpful and efficient specially with how they handled the check-in paperwork to minimize the guest's efforts. Easy walk to great restaurants and galleries. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Charming is what I would use to describe the vibe of this hotel and town. What a gem.

Excellent hotel. Great location, close to Ocean Ave and many restaurants and shops. Very very clean, well kept and modern. Easy free parking, and delicious breakfast included with stay. Highly recommend.

Very chic and new hotel in the heart of Carmel. Everything is super walkable from the hotel. The hotel has been recently renovated. The courtyard area is super nice with fire pits, lots of seating and a huge water feature. Our room had high end finishes and was well appointed. The only negative is that the room is a bit small (we had a deluxe king). The staff is very friendly and attentive. Breakfast is included and very tasty (and unique)

I was disappointed with my stay. After a long day of traveling, I experienced a disorganized check-in process that added unnecessary stress. When I finally got to my room, it smelled like the previous guests, making me question if the linens were changed. I didn’t feel comfortable addressing it with the front desk (she was awful) again, so I slept on towels. The next morning, instead of apologizing or offering a solution, the staff (new front desk person) defended housekeeping. This experience left me feeling frustrated and never wanting to return. The only positives is parking is plentiful the sweet boys that greet you as you arrive. Do better, Stillwell.

Disappointed
New nicely renovated old motel/apt bldg. No slippers available. Room heater/AC unit is LOUD and slow to adjust. Sadly, breakfast very much needs vast improvement. Food items taste as if they were prepared the night before and tasted old and soggy. Given the price of the room rate, breakfast is very disappointing.
