Pet friendly BUT they do not disclose the additional fees that you will be charged once you check in.. when I mentioned that it wasn’t on their website, he said yeah I will tell my manager with a sarcastic smile. He asked if I was good with the fee, I said no, then he said well there’s no option so I said, I guess I have to be then.. then he laughed.. so be prepared to pay for these additional fees!!

We loved the area. It was right across from the plaza and right down the street from both Monterey and Carmel. There was a small family grass lounge area that was nice. We did not like how dirty the room was. The fridge was leaking. The bathtub had a blood clot stain. And the front door had giant cracks allowing bugs to come into the room.

I like the outside patio area. I didn't like the bed or pillows (bed uncomfortable and pillows were flat). The back of the door of the room had what looked like dog slobber on it.

We paid extra for a suite, expecting a grade higher of comfort and experience than in the standard rooms. It was pretty much a standard room with a spa tub/shower in the same room as the bed. Not necessarily a bad thing, but the tub floor looked grimy/dirty, little brown spots and cracks - not a very inviting spa tub. At least 3 towels were stained, one pillow was stained and yellowing, sheets had some small holes. Coffee machine in room was sticky as if not cleaned since its last use. Walls were thin, we could hear the dog barking next door or the tv - idk if there was construction going on upstairs, but we could hear footsteps and furniture moving back and forth the whole time we were in the room. The place is in a convenient location, cheaper than what is around, maybe worth it for the standard rooms but definitely would not recommend the extra for the suites.
