pleasant surprise
Considering the location (downtown Montreal…), my stay was surprisingly pleasant. The hotel was clean and quiet. The staff was super nice and friendly. The only thing: the doors make a lot of noise when they close, even with sleeping buds on. They are big industrial-type doors, and you must be very careful not to make any noise when closing them. And since people tend not to think about others, well, the noise can be very annoying. Other than that, it was a flawless experience.

My room on the second floor at the front of the building was a little noisy due to the restaurant/bar below and the late night street traffic. Otherwise, everything about the hotel was terrific.

The staff were very professional and helpful. The immediate area outside of the hotel may not be the most beautiful, but don’t let that fool you. The location is a convenient walking distance away from Place des Arts and many other attractions downtown and the prices for their rooms are quite reasonable. The rooms themselves are nice and clean. I’ll be staying there again the next time I’m in Montreal.
