Enviably situated right in the middle of Acadia National Park, the darling Blueberry Cottage gives you unbeatable access to renowned hiking trails, beautiful ocean beaches, and the many charms of downtown Bar Harbor.

This cottage is located in the Otter Creek neighborhood of Mount Desert Island, just five miles south of the restaurants, shops, and galleries in Bar Harbor's historic center. Sand Beach, the famous Ocean Path, Jordan Pond, and many other park landmarks are within a few minutes' drive or a scenic bike ride.

This home has been decorated in soft shades of blue both inside and out, in keeping with its name that honors Maine's beloved state fruit. After catching the sunrise atop Cadillac Mountain or spending the day biking the park carriage roads, you can retire to the back deck for fresh seafood seared on the gas grill.

Inside, there's a well-equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances and an eat-in breakfast table, a living room with a smart TV, and three bedrooms - including one with a desk workspace where you can log onto the high-speed WiFi.

True to description.
Handy to Acadia NP and town. Problem with Wi-Fi connection due to incorrect password on printed info in house. Due to poor phone coverage could not access Wi-Fi and Vacasa app which had the correct info.

Acadia
First time to Acadia and wasn’t sure what to expect. Quite a ways to Bar Harbor from house but close to park. The house was nice and comfortable. Didn’t spend much time at house but it was nice

Perfect cabin for an Acadia park vacation
The cabin was very clean and had an updated bathroom, new appliances, and comfy furniture. Located on a super quiet street near hiking trails and a great launching off point for exploring the rest of the park as well as Bar Harbor. Had everything we needed - would definitely go back!

Great location for hiking… rougher neighborhood.
Pros: Clean, everything we needed to cook in house, comfortable enough beds after long days of hiking and walkable to the coast! Cons: neighborhood and exterior. The grass was almost waist high and the neighborhood is rougher than we expected. Overall, I would have been happier had we expected the rougher neighborhood when we drove in but the cottage itself worked well for our trip!

Heart of Acadia
This little cottage is on an absolutely quiet street which is so convenient to Bar Harbor and the park entrances. A 15 minute walk thru the woods and the Blackwoods campground brings you out on the park loop road near the water. The pillows were a little hard for our particular taste, but the mattresses were nice, as was the shower. It is not fancy, but perfectly adequate as a base for enjoying the park and we would go there again.

Property is on a relatively unkempt street, but the location in the park and proximity to Bar Harbor was great, very convenient. Unfortunately we had some issues, the evening we checked in, it was very cold and the thermostats were painted over. After several unsatisfactory communications with Vacasa (rental agent), we figured out how to get heat although adjusting the temperature was problematic. The next day, we left the house and took the keys left for us in the kitchen. We locked the door, but when we returned, the keys would not open the door. Called Vacasa who gave us the code to the lock boxes, no go on those keys either. Then they gave us lock box code for back door, but the storm door was locked so we couldn’t enter there either. It took a couple of hours until the property manager (who was very nice) could come and let us in. The batteries in the tv remote were dead, but after some hunting, we found some in the cold, creepy basement. Also, there are no bedside tables at all, which is pretty inconvenient.

Great home base for visiting Acadia
We visited Acadia National Park for the first time and stayed here with our two adult children. It was clean and quiet. We especially enjoyed being able to hike to some of the most popular Acadia sites (like Thunder Hole and Beehive Trail) from this place.

Great location, very clean
The beds were comfortable and everything was very clean. We didn't spend alot of time there, so not much else to say, but having the trail right behind the house was incredibly convenient.
