The room had an odor. The sheets smelled washed but a strong smell of mildew. The furniture looked used as if it was in a dog kennel, it was chewed on. The bathtube was cleaned but crevices were gross.
This hotel was fine for a quick stayover. It shares a parking lot with a seedier hotel and is across the street from an even seedier hotel than that. In comparison, then, this Red Roof Inn is incredible. But overall, it's good. The price was competitive. What was odd is that the bathroom in the room I had (two double beds) was huge, but much of that size was taken up by... nothing. Just a whole lot of space. Small sink, no counter space. But clean. That's probably the most important. Clean towels and a comfortable bed.
I stayed at the Red Roof because I wanted to be close to Philly after a concert, but have an easier ride to NYC from Jersey.
The experience started poorly, having to wait at the front desk for 10-15 minutes to be checked in. There wasn’t a staff member in site. I almost walked out.
The hallway outside my room was dirty and the stairs to the room smelled like smoke. The room itself smelled badly.
The bathroom was disgusting - there was water damage everywhere, including rust. It looked like it was falling an apart.
I wouldn’t stay there again and regret booking it.
Tired of being relocated to different hotels & having problems checking in due to my reservation not being “booked” or having confirmation #s. If it’s not ID & credentials, it’s the payment info & card - if not that, then it’s with what app I booked with which in this case is Expedia. I have been relocated now twice - have had to cancel & make new reservation once && have been denied entry, check in & service on another occasion. This. is. getting. ridiculous. && redundant.
