great for attending an event at Tamarack
This place is great for a skiing/riding family or two parties of 2-3 people each. Any more than that would probably feel a bit cramped. This was totally on me for not reading the amenities close enough, There are two bathrooms. One has ONLY a bath tub. The other more centralized bathroom has a shower/bathtub. But, that's on me. My only gripe would be (and I make this request on just about all VRBO's that I stay at). The house should be clean and neat (which it definitely was). Unfortunately, for the vast majority of VRBO's, this means that the house is typically stripped of all spices and cooking odds and ends that make it possible to enjoy staying at a house or condo. This house had salt and pepper but that's about it. As long as you travel with your own spices you'll have a great stay. There have been reports of this house being overrun with spiders. We did not see any of that. I only saw one of the tiniest spiders over the course of 4 days. It was busy hunting/eating other pests so, we let him hang with us.

7 day Snowmobile vacation
The house was very nice. Luckily for lack of snow, two trucks and trailers fit perfectly. We had an option for 2nd trailer if needed. Had to wash comforters on two beds and sheets were stained in primary bedroom. But there were extras. Kitchen was 8 out of 10. We have had woods stoves and that one sucks. Smokes out the house and fan is obnoxiously loud. Internet was subpar even after rebooting router. There was no salt for the ice that builds up. We’ve never had to buy our own. Front door code never worked even after texting with Vacasa. So we used garage & code easily. Needs new pillows and full size mattresses could be replaced. Not everyone travels with children that are small and don’t notice that stuff. 7 days on crappy mattresses is not so much fun. Overall house was good.

Great but spiders!!
The cabin was clean except for some hair in the bathroom rugs and lots of dust in the bathrooms as well, but what really overshadowed everything that was great about this cabin was the spiders! They were EVERYWHERE when we arrived and even after killing all that we could find in every room, hallway and bathroom, they continued to appear the entire time we were there. On the walls, ceilings, furniture, floors, even in our drinks! It was terrible and made it really hard to relax and enjoy ourselves. The cabin was otherwise great but this was a huge drawback. I wouldn't have been surprised to see a few since we were in the forest afterall, but we killed upwards of 100 spiders during our 3 night stay. It was just too many!

Almost perfect
The cabin itself is great. It is well-designed and perfectly situated on a quiet lot amid trees. The kitchen has every pot or pan you could need and all in brand new condition. It was spotless and well-maintained. The upgraded features are very nice (full size washer/dryer and other appliances). The 2-car garage is roomy (we didn’t use because our car has a cargo box and wouldn’t fit in there). You definitely need a strong 4x4 to get here during the winter because it’s a county dirt road. They were plowing when we left, but that’s the first plow we saw in 36 hours. It’s only about 10 mins to Tamarack, which was perfect for us. One downside and only reason for 4/5 stars is the queen mattress in primary bedroom was so soft and squishy, we kept rolling toward the middle. If it were upgraded, then we’d stay here several times a season. Other mattresses in other rooms seemed fine. Another thing to note is there is only 1 shower-primary bedroom has attached bathroom with a bath only. That wasn’t a major issue for us, though. And, we had some issues trying to figure the fireplace insert and had only a Vacasa phone number to call. The texting agent could not help, and after being on hold for 30 mins, we gave up. It was Christmas evening, so that probably didn’t help! Overall, we would stay again if that mattress was improved.
