Classic Bavarian Hotel, located in a great area and very walkable. The rooms are dated, with an old carpet and dated furniture. We had to upgrade to a suite which was double the price which was fully renovated but, the only furniture in the room was a king size bed and two chairs. No dresser or any drawers. The bathroom was very nice but, no area to set our things so, we were keeping everything in our suitcases. The location is amazing, the staff very nice and helpful with several dining options around!

Everything Was Great.
The service at the hotel, especially the front desk, was outstanding. My first day I arrived at about 11:30 am, due to the flight arrival time, but they allowed me to check in early. And throughout my visit, the front desk personnel assisted with train tickets and arranging a tour for me. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The room was on the small side, but it was just me and my trip wasn't about staying in the room so I didn't need a lot of space. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, and - unlike most hotels in the US - there was housekeeping service every day. The hotel is centrally located to everything and just a couple of blocks from a train station. Overall, I could not have been more pleased with my stay and experience with the Platzl Hotel.

When traveling to Munich, I was more concerned about location than amenities and when I decided to stay at Platzl Hotel, I didn’t expect much for what I paid in comparison to other hotels nearby. What an amazing find and I would recommend for anyone to stay here. It’s such a great value based on its location and amenities. The room is extremely clean, there’s excellent service, a lively bar downstairs and a sauna after a cold, wintry day. It’s in Marienplatz and therefore close to the subway line, but completely walkable with tons of restaurants and high end boutiques for some retail therapy. I’m extremely happy with this hotel. We would love to stay here again.

Great location! We were able to walk every where we wanted to go (one member of our group was 79 yrs old). Close to Hofbräuhaus (literally next door) and Marienplatz. Staff was fantastic!

Hotel was nice. On Saturday night lots of street noise so hard to sleep. But room was nice and lobby was nice. Great coffee shop and fabulous location.

This property is centrally located and you can walk 6-20 minutes to all scenic and tourists’ areas. There are plenty of choices for dining areas. The floor in our room is hardwood if you’re concerned about allergies. Room was comfortable. Star were very responsive and accommodating. There is a sauna in the hotel. Breakfast at the hotel is very good with plenty of choices. We also opted for hotel transportation from the airport because it is our first time in Munich and that was a good choice.

Great stay. Very comfortable and clean room that was surprisingly quiet even though I was close to the elevator and the hotel was full. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious and the staff was first rate. Unbeatable location.
