Koules Estate Helianthus with its own private pool (1,40 meters deep) & 150m2 lawn covered area, is set on a farm shaded by plant nature and lilac blossoms. Nature offers shading during mid day heat, the pool invites you to refresh yourself anytime you wish. The ample outdoor sitting & dining with the BBQ facilities (charcoal) awaits you to prepare outdoor culinary moments.

Our unique Villa provides self-catering with comfort and parents in mind. A shared outdoor playground is also available for our younger guests, for endless hours of fun & relaxation.

Location Overview

Koules Estate is located in the village of Episkopi. The village, with its ancient history and traditional ways of life, is an ideal place to learn about customs, traditions and experience an authentic rural life. Also in the village guests will find a regional taverna as well as a traditional cafe.

Throughout the area the visitor is invited to walk in a region of particular natural beauty, to admire important monuments and to experience the customary local hospitality. We are pleased to offer our delightful region for excursions or holidays, combining naturalist and archaeological routes that, in their total, constitute an important 'map' of experiences.

In Garazo village, which is 10 minutes away by car, guests will find a super market for their daily needs.

Perama town which is within 15 minutes driving you will find everything that you might need like shops, bakery, grocery store, butcher’s, taverns, cafes, supermarkets, ATM machines, pharmacies, gas stations and post office.

Also Panormo, is a friendly sea side village, approximately 20 minutes away by car and well known for its sandy beaches. The two main beaches are Limanaki and Limni. Both of them are sandy with clear blue water and ideal for kids, as they are shallow and well protected from winds. The beaches are organised and equipped with sun beds & umbrellas. Water sports are also available. The harbour beach in front of the village is the port of the area, where the boats tie up, this beach is unorganised.

Panormos village has all the facilities and amenities one would need : well-stocked mini-markets, post office, pharmacy, a doctor’s office, a butcher's shop, bakery (hot, fresh bread every morning from 9 am), various gift shops and traditional seaside shops at very reasonable prices.

Further, there is a good selection of cafes and excellent traditional tavernas, overlooking the harbour and the sea, which offer a warm welcome and a beautiful setting to enjoy some traditional Cretan food, fish as well as international dishes.

Auszeit in den Bergen
Die Ferienanlage besteht aus fünf benachbarten Ferienhäusern, jeweils mit eigenem kleinen Pool. Wir konnten hier einige erholsame Tage verbringen und die Auszeit vom üblichen Touristen-Trubel genießen. Zum Einkaufen empfehlen wir, nach Perama zu fahren, da es dort eine größere Auswahl gibt. In dem nahegelegenen Garazo gibt es zwei kleine „Tante Emma“-Läden. Es besteht auch die Möglichkeit, sich Essen aus dem Nachbardorf liefern zu lassen. Das Essen war in Ordnung, kam aber nicht an die Qualität der anderen Tavernen heran, die wir sonst besucht haben. Die Ferienhäuser haben auf jeden Fall viel Potenzial, sie müssen nur etwas konsequenter gepflegt und modernisiert werden – am besten aus dem Blickwinkel eines Urlaubers, der aus dem Koffer lebt! Was IMHO verbessert werden sollte: Es fehlten bequeme Sitzgelegenheiten im Haus – das wäre für einen erholsamen Urlaub sehr wichtig! Das Doppelbett war zudem etwas klein, besonders bei heißem Wetter wäre mehr Platz wünschenswert. Die Armaturen im Bad sollten durch moderne ersetzt werden, da es sehr schwierig ist, eine stabile Wassertemperatur einzustellen. Bitte die Küchenausstattung besser pflegen und kontrollieren, ob etwas ersetzt werden muss (Pfannen, Messer). Eine Spülmaschine wäre für die Urlauber auch sehr sinnvoll. Der Sonnenschutz aus Schilf ist ungenügend, da immer noch etwa 50 % der Sonnenstrahlen durchkommen. Die Kontaktpersonen waren alle super nett und haben auf Anfragen schnell reagiert – vielen Dank dafür!
