Night 1 was fine, stayed in Brighton Tower. Night 2 was terrible; Approx 1:50am awoke due to loud noises coming from adjoining room; voices, TV, furniture moving. Between 2am and 4am, called front desk twice over to complain about the noise. Front desk sent security to the room. Noise continued, called a 3rd time and an unsympathetic front desk clerk asked if we wanted to change rooms. We accepted a move, and I said what do you need me to do- clerk said “come to front desk and get a key”. So now I have to walk from my bldg over to the Embassy Suites to get a new room key at 4am. I walked over, the front desk clerk offered no apology or empathy, just the key. Then I went back and packed up our room- all our food and clothes for the week, and we made our way to the other side of the bldg. Then, unbelievably woke up to a loud grinding noise at 730am??? Looked out the window and saw construction work crews repairing a roof below us. So we got re-homed to the construction side of the bldg?! So our time at this Hilton property clearly needed to come to an end in order to stop the suffering. We went to the front desk to seek a manager and was told he’s not in yet (Drew), and he is the only one that can address the issues. Went back to desk a bit later, told he’s in but now on a conference call. I said to the concierge that was trying to track Drew down; “ok, that’s enough we are departing the hotel now and we will go seek alternative accommodations- please have Drew call us”.

First property ( one bedroom villa) had roaches: privately owned property. But hotel was very accommodating and moved us to a two bedroom with great views. And gave us free voucher's to Hilton full breakfast bar that’s not included if you stay at private properties.

This was our third stay at this property. It is a beautiful resort and we love it! Unfortunately housekeeping fell short this stay. We checked in about 10pm, got to our condo and found there were no bath towels, soap, coffee, dish towels or detergent and even worse 1/2 a roll of toilet paper for 2 bathrooms and 4 people. I went to the desk the next morning, told them what we needed and was assured these items would be brought to the condo. Long story short, after 2 more phone calls we received a bag of towels and 2 rolls of toilet paper which had literally been thrown into the condo thru the door when we weren’t there. We were paying over $250 per night, we expect better service than this. Unfortunately, little experiences like this can leave a big impression.

The service gets worse every year

We have stayed here many years the same weekend every year for our "Girls weekend" away with my mom, sister and daughters. Last year before I even checked out of the condo I went back into the room and the maid service was in the room going through stripping the beds and throwing things away. We decided to give them another chance this year. We never got the crib delivered to the room that I had requested ahead of time and specifically asked about when checking in. Got to the room and there was no dish towels or rags to wash the dishes with. No potholders to pull the pan out of the oven. Yes these are small things BUT when you pay as much money as the condo cost these things you should not have to even ask for.

We stayed here approx. 10 times the past 2 years. This is one of the best Myrtle Beach vacation location I have ever stayed. After we stayed here the first time we never went anywhere else. I can recommend renting the Brighton apartments mainly but also the Villas. Everything is walking distance on the actual property. The pool area is great with a small water play area for kids which my kids absolutely love. Property is beach front. A Walmart Supercenter is 3 driving min away and Kroger 2 min. The outlets are also 3 driving min away. The staff is amazing. Very clean property.

The room that we checked into was outdated! I mean GOLDEN GIRLS 80s outdated! The sheets on the bed felt like we were sleeping on sandpaper. The internet stop working so we couldn’t watch tv, and the balcony door would not lock. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE!

The overall stay was good, the first room we had smelled of mildew and wasn’t the cleanest, we got moved to a different room, it was better, but still had a slight sour smell to it. They were extremely accommodating when we asked for a different room the first time, I didn’t want to complain a second time so we stayed in the second room despite the odd smell. Like I said, it wasn’t bad, but wasn’t the best. The roof by the door to get into the second room had a terrible leak and we got wet every time we went in or out of the room. The property was pretty and well maintained with great beach access. The few people we interacted with were very nice. Overall it was a good stay, a bit pricey for what it was in my opinion, but still a good stay.

My worst stay ever at Kingston. We moved to 4 different villas and all were infested with bugs. There was no parking in front or near my villa and no solution from desk staff. Staff at intermission coffee shop were very rude, unprofessional, and unaccommodating. My family loves staying at Kingston but after this visit we won’t be back property has gone down.
