The Blueberry Room at Haden Edwards House

The Haden Edwards House is walking distance to down town, restaurants, the Fredonia Brewery, and family fun like parks and a waterpark! This beautiful historic home boasts 4 bedrooms with a private bath in each room, a shared half bath, and a shared kitchenette, living, and dining room.

There are family games and two huge porches to enjoy your morning coffee or afternoon tea on.

This house is a huge part of Nacogdoches history. Named after Haden Edwards himself, a Fredonia Rebellion leader, the house features high ceilings, two wrap around porches, 4 guest rooms named with historical influence and was built in the 1860s.

There is a living and dining area that is community space that features fun games for families, and a cozy place to hang out. The house also has a kitchenette and laundry room that is accessible to guests.

Other things to note
This room features a bunk bed: 1 queen and 1 full. It also has a stand alone twin. The room will sleep 5 if two people share the queen and full.

Would not recommend
My family and I tried to stay at your place for the night, but unfortunately we decided not to due to too much loud profane music from the adjacent garage, which was very close to our room. We tried communicating with the host numerous times and tried letting them know of the issue. The host did not respond in a timely manner and didn't answer any of our questions. Next door was a loud concert type event going on, and I had to go next door and ask if the event would be all night. After realizing this event would go on for hours and we would not be able to get any rest for our two young boys, we decided to leave and get a hotel room somewhere else. The host never responded, even after we communicated we were leaving. We left the place place locked, and requested a refund. We were not pleased with the service and would not recommend this place because of the lousy service. It's unfortunate, because the actual building was beautiful. After speaking with the event coordinator next door with the loud concert, we found out one owner owns both locations, which made me realize the host did not care about my complaint and just making money was his main focus. I will also be filing a complaint to VRBO to try to get a full refund.

When we first arrived at 4pm, one hour after check-in, the room was not cleaned. I had to call the host and Vrbo to get them to send out a cleaner. The cleaning lady was so sweet and she did a great job, even though we didn't get into the room until 6pm. The host admitted that they overlooked there were 2 separate bookings for the one weekend, which would need to be cleaned in between. While in the room we noticed that it is significantly warmer in the room than the shared spaces. We turned the celing fan on and it was not working. We were only in the room for an hour before we made the decision to just find other accomodations.After contacting the host and Vrbo they both claim a refund for these issues is the others responsibility. The house itself is amazing and well kept, but being instructed to find a fix for the fan and having the host insist that check in was at 4pm and not 3pm was just telling of how they are running this property.

Visiting SFA
Perfect place to stay for our visit to check out SFA! We were able to take a short walk into town for dinner & shopping. SFA was a quick drive away. The check in was simple & easy thanks to the detailed information given beforehand. The historic home was charming, room was spacious & clean. Our friendly hostess made sure we were able to get checked in and offered any further assistance we might have needed during our stay.

The town is adorable and the house is located perfectly to be off of main street but close enough to walk everywhere. The yard is well kept and the house is very cute. Would stay again.

This property was advertised as a private house where you will have the whole place as yourself. Imagine my surprise when i get there and realized it had shared spaces. I would not have booked if I had known that and felt uncomfortable so we didn't spend the night. The house itself was beautiful and very clean.
