This is a good place to stay one or two night before/after your flight. Do not waste more time here. Hotel is next to a beach called Wailoaloa, which means "black water". And black it is. Do not even dream about snorkeling here - you cannot see anything. Not even your own toes. Or nose. Even swimming made me feel uncomfortable, although bottom was mostly smooth (sandy and silty). If you want to dive, there is a diving shop, but be prepared to stay on the boat for at least half an hour or more to get good visibility. So this is not a place for divers or snorkelers. Riding on the beach is nice, thou the horses are.. well.. seen their best days. Rooms can vary A LOT in same price category and if you plan to extend your stay, be prepared to carry all you luggage out for a day and chance a room. Extending your stay smoothly does definitely NOT work here. Most of the rooms are old and tiles are cracked, but I have seen worse. (I have also seen much better, with less cost, so..) Food is mostly not so delicious and usually does NOT match with the menus ingredients. Service is slow, as everywhere in Fiji and the personnel seems to be bored and cold (compared other places in Fiji). I would recommend to go out and eat somewhere else than in hotels restaurant. It is also cheaper to do that. Buses are easy to use and cost 1,11FJD and taxi to the city cost around 7FJD. But this place is mostly clean, that I have to say.

Brilliant hotel

Stopped here in both an oceanfront room and a four bed dorm and was very impressed with both. The rooms were extremely clean and comfortable, and the oceanfront room had a wide range of amenities. The hotel is close to Nadi town with taxi drivers always available, and it is right next to the beach with amazing views of neighbouring islands. We watched the fire dancing which was great fun, very impressive for free entertainment and included guests in the dancing which was a great icebreaker for people travelling alone. All in all, was very impressed with the hotel and the staff are amazing, true Fijians!! Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking to stay in Nadi :)

Pros: Das Personal, das Abendprogramm sowie auch den Wellnessbereich.
Cons: Sehr rudimentär gehalten. Langsam in die Jahre gekommen.
Location: Das Hotel liegt direkt am Meer und 15 Fahrminuten vom Hafen "Denerau" entfernt.

Gutes Hotel für kurze Aufenthalte

Das Hotel liegt etwa 20 Auto Minuten vom Flughafen in Nadi und 10 min von der Stadt. Bis zum nächsten Supermarkt sind es 5 Minuten mit den Taxi. Daa Hotel liegt direkt am Strand. Am Strand ist es sehr ruhig, um smugglers cove liegen noch 4 andere resorts, welche aber nicht sehr besucht zu sein scheinen. Direkt vor dem Hotel gibt es einen Taxistand (7-10$)und mehrmals täglich fährt von dort auch ein Bus (1,25$) in die Stadt. Die Zimmer sind in Ordnung. Nicht der modern aber mit tv, Kühlschrank, Klimaanlage und wasserkocher ausgestattet. Sie erfüllen ihren zweck. Das frühstück lässt jedoch zu wünschen übrig. Es gab einfach Cornflakes mit Milch, Milchreis, eine Art Kuchen, Toast mit butter oder Marmelade, 2 Sorten Obst (welches leider nur selten aufgefüllt wurde) und Kaffee, Tee und Wasser. Alles sehr einfach gehalten und er lieblos im Speiseraum platziert. Das Restaurant und die Bar jedoch waren gut. Das essen war lecker und und es ist recht preiswert. Abends ist immer sehr viel los, die Gäste aus umliegenden resorts kommen ebenfalls und an mehreren Tagen die Woche gibt es Unterhaltungsprogramm. Das Personal war zwar hilfsbereit, aber irgendwie unfreundlich. Gelacht bzw gelächelt wird kaum. Zusammenfassend kann man sagen, dass es ein Hotel ist welches ein gutes Preis/Leistungs Verhältnis hat, aber eher für kürzere Aufenthalte gedacht ist.
