APA hotels are generally fine and this one is also fine, a convenient distance from Sakae station. However this is the first hotel room I've stayed at in Japan that only had a fan, no air con. I stayed in April so it wasnt so bad, but I can imagine in the summer that gets unpleasant, especially for someone like me that's always hot.

Likes: Very modern and clean, fairly close walking distance to shopping and restaurants, easy parking facility, and a very nice public bath on the top floor of the hotel. Dislikes: incredibly small room but the price was very reasonable so that was to be expected. Bed was too soft for me (some people may prefer a soft mattress), and the hotel is located smack in the midst of host bar area. I think the pros outweigh the cons. Overall I am quite satisfied with my stay.

I really enjoyed my stay. Wish I had know this was the Kabukicho of Nagoya. I already live in Shinjuku so I was a little disappointed to stay in a similar area. Anyway. One thing is that my bathroom smelled like cigarette smoke almost every time I used it. I believe there are smoking or non smoking rooms ? Maybe it’s coming in the vents? I was hesitant to try the spa because I have tattoos so I wanted to enjoy the bathtub but the smell was unpleasant. Anyway it’s really small issue and the room was lovely and clean. The staff are so super nice and realistically the area is convenient for reaching main downtown areas :) thank you!
