I booked the day before. After locating the property from a back alley. Standing at the 3rd floor doorway, there was only a locked door and a qr code to scan. No staff, no reception, nothing. A staff member happened to arrive and unlocked the door but refused me entry. It was about 12:30 and she communicated 3pm check in. I tried to convey that my phone could not access the qr link and asked if i could leave my 50 kilos of baggage. I was told no, which is very unusual.
I returned at 3 pm to find the exterior doors to the building closed and locked. I buzzed, called the # for assistance, attempted to message, without success. There is no onsite staff or assistance.
Later at another accommodation and with wifi assistance, I located emails regarding remote check in procedure (probably what the qr link would have explained, if I'd had wifi to be able to access it).
All staff, reception, and service are not on site and are remote. I was not aware I was required to access email, to check in. This process is new to me, foreign and frustrating.
I've requested a refund and this is the 3rd day that I have not seen an email reply. Good thing this email reply isn't the check in process, it wouldn't have arrived until after my stay is over!
