This is a modest house in a humongous setting. The outdoor spa may serve as a refreshing pool. 150- and 300- gallon stock tanks may also be used to cool off and refresh during warmer weather. Big East Fork Creek is wonderful to explore and runs across the entrance to the property. Miles of trails begin just outside your door ! Unlimited blackberries during season (Late June to Early July). Walk to organic farm and the nearby. Bike to Big East Fork Retreat.

Guest Access:
The entire house is yours! And so is the magnificent back porch with hot tub and firepit.

Three magnificent trails pass by the Southern Hospitality Ranch. The Short Meadow Trail goes through a pasture then crosses a creek, goes through a hardwood forest and ends at The Fork Inn. The Log Meadow Trail winds through a meadow, crosses a small creek, goes through a young forest parallel to Big East Fork Rd to the four-pole barn. One half mile along the Farm Trail brings you to Center for Sustainable Stewardship's Farm Store. The Governor's Trail starts right behind the Ranch!

The Neighborhood:
This lodging is part of the Fork Inn, which lies at the beginning of a pristine creek within a gorgeous valley. All Fork Inn guests may walk around Lake Gratitude, explore miles of hiking trails and creek, and use our stock-tank pools at the farm shelter. Beavers, herons, otter, deer, and hawks abound. Walk with your partner along a quiet country road to the overlook to see romantic sunsets. Canaan Valley Farms is a short walk away, and loves to give farm tours.

Enjoy biking, hiking, canoeing, massage, yoga and more! Nearby Big East Fork Farms downstream provides organic produce.

We are located 20 miles from downtown Nashville, 8 miles from historic Franklin (old time Main Street, fancy restaurants, boutique shopping), 7 miles from Leiper's Fork (Distillery tours, Fox & Locke Live Music - don't miss Thursday night's open mic) and light years away from the stress of city life. The Fork Inn is part of a 2000-acre Conservation easement and features a 8-acre lake, miles of creek, and many meadows and hiking trails. There is bicycle and walking access onto the scenic Natchez Trace Parkway within a mile. We are adjacent to the Center for Sustainble Stewardship with has many hiking trails, bicycles, and an organic farm. Meet Rosie the Donkey, Winston the cow, and the piggies !

Getting Around:
Private vehicle is essential for getting around. Uber / Lyft will bring you from Airport or downtown honkytonks.

Other Things to Note:
The Big East Fork Valley is a 7000 acres natural gem. Nearby Big East Fork Farm is just down the road and a 15 minute walk away. Interact with friendly farm animals including Winston the Cow, Rosie the Donkey, and cute piggies. Rural beauty
The house is set back from the road down a rural lane surrounded by fields and woods which were beautiful even in December. The ranch style home was good for the 6 of us. The bookshelves and cupboards are loaded with items from the 50s and are interesting to explore. The kitchen is equipped with a flat top stove, 2 ovens, microwave, and a dishwasher with plenty of glassware and dishes. We were glad to have brought our own knives, baking dishes, coffee equipment, and large skillet. Internet was available but did not reach well to the rear areas of the house. We brought our own Fire stick for the TV. Supermarkets are available in Franklin, 5 miles away. The property manager was available by text and phone and very responsive although a notebook that is typically available at rental homes was not present. The backyard had a great hot tub and fire pit with adirondack chairs. Deer were present in the front field on most mornings. Coyotes howled up and down the valley one evening. The Conservancy property was great to explore with wide mown paths available to explore both on flat land and up into the hills. The Conservancy farm is 1 mile down the road. We plan to go back and try one of their properties with a larger group.
