As you arrive at the yurt you will be welcomed by a calm and serene aesthetic. Our portico was constructed from 100 year old barn beams that were salvaged from West Virginia. The space also includes a mini-split unit that offers additional heating as well as A/C in the summer months. A pull out couch is provided to accommodate any extra guest. Cutest Yurt (but heads up)
Welcoming and new yurt. Owners did pay attention to details such as snacks, extra towels, games, scented candles, etc.... It was very clean. However, lost power at 4:30a and was not restored until 9:30a which was incredibly inconvenient and created a very cold am and no shower at all for our family outing that morning. I understand that sometimes things happen but after reading the journal book it seems to have happened a few times before. Also, we were excited to have family time outside. We planned to make a fire in the firepit and hot tub. While in the hot tub we were overcome by a smell. We thought it was gas and messaged the owner who did not respond until much later. Odor gave us a headache, we were afraid to make a fire and had to stay indoors. When the owner finally responded he said "depending on the time of year and atmospheric pressure " you can smell the plumbing vent stack. The owner did not seem concerned about our inconvenience nor did he compensate for it.

Stunning
This place is well off the beaten path but worth the drive! Beautifully decorated and cozy. They thought of everything! The stairs are a little scary for an older person but otherwise a perfect stay. We will be back!
