I loved the feeling of New Orleans in the courtyard. The location was perfect for either walking or catching the street car. This was my first stay in New Orleans, but I hope not the last.

the price was great the staff could not have been more helpful was conveniently located breakfast was as expected. not a 5 star hotel but that is not what ie is priced at or advertized as if you are there to see new orleans and not a spa retreat not sure you can do much better 3 blocks to bourbon st and about 6 from the waterfront. a good choice

The property looks charming online with lots of character. In reality it old, dirty, smelly and dated. The sink is outside of the bathroom and you have to pass the beds to get to it. The beds are full, not queen and the chair in my room had white stains all in it. The walls are streaked with dirt. The smell is unbearable.

The hotel was a great location and staff were good and the breakfast was really nice. The only complaint was the cleanliness of the room. They only offered room make up every third day unless requested which was fine with us because we keep a neat room but after the third night, the sheets weren't changed, the floors were not vacuumed, there were crumbs on the floor that were still there. Also, upon check in, the wall on either side of the bathroom sink was dirty and certainly needed a wipe down. There was rust stains around the bottom of the toilet and along the bottom of the tub, there was black mold around the edges of the window panes and black soot on the vents on the upper part of the walls. We always look for a best western when we travel and were a bit disappointed to see this.

The staff here was incredible from the moment My son and I arrived for his birthday getaway. They made us feel so comfortable and everything was available. They sold me the moment they had ice, cold brew, coffee, and regular coffee 24/7. 😂 I’m a Jersey girl. Coffee makes me Happy. The evening front desk clerks became my best friend. Please consider this hotel if you want to be in the heart of everything. Across from Armstrong Park

This property is in the French Quarter and that makes the surroundings somewhat abused by the local traffic and tourism. The hotel being gated and having a courtyard is wonderful and a saving grace. I wish the courtyard was a little more clean (planters had lots of cigarette butts in them) but for an older property it is kept well. The dining room was clean and cute and the rooms were clean enough to feel comfortable bare foot. Halls where traffic is (and often may have intoxicated people) show wear and can have unpleasant odor but not overwhelmingly so. I felt overall safe with my family and my son adored the pool. The fountain could use some love but it was comfortable to enjoy coffee and fresh air around. If we returned to New Orleans I would seriously consider staying here again. Breakfast was well presented and abundant and the staff was wonderful, especially the two gentlemen running the property in the evenings, the ladies during the day were helpful and sweet as well. For the budget it was well worth it.
