Checked in ac did not work, told them at 6pm it wasn’t working and they said they would send someone to fix it, went out to eat came in at 10 pm and still wasn’t working, called them asked to be moved, they said no they couldn’t but would send someone to fix it , waited until 12 pm no one showed up 84 degrees in room , no help at the desk , said because we booked 3rd party , we would have to contact hotel.com

The hotel is lovely. There's always complimentary eater available, as well as cookies and lemonade from 3-5PM. The courtyard was lovely and rather peaceful, except when the riverboat plays its boarding tune, at which time the sound fills the space. Our room was comfortable and pretty quiet facing away from the river. Most of the staff was sweet, conversational, and accommodating, but there was one less than friendly attendant our last full day there. We'd told her that we slept in and therefore needed housekeeping to attend our room (because they hadn't by time we'd returned from an excursion) and she grilled us about have the privacy sign on the door and acted like it was a bother to contact them. They still hadn't cleaned the room when we came back the second time, so we had to ask the front desk for towels. Fortunately, there was a different more accommodating attendant. Their cleaning staff doesn't seem to keep track of which rooms to go back to and who is checking out, because they were also pretty aggressive trying to get in on our last day at about 10AM when the privacy sign WAS on the door and checkout wasn't until 12PM. Otherwise, we definitely liked the place.

This was my first visit to BH and it’s a really beautiful property. It was clean, quiet & peacefully - just what I needed. The staff, especially Duane, was great and helpful. She made my stay pleasant and provided great NOLA hospitality. I will definitely return…soon!

I could not get clean towels for 3 days. Housekeeping never left any. I asked multiple house keeping staff and was denied. I eventually was given some hand towels but then was asked to give them back. We could not get full size towels, hand towels, wash cloths, or shower mat towel. There were two of us and in the rare occasion I was provided any I was met with attitude and provided ONE. Also if you enjoy warm water, make sure to turn it on and wait 30 min or cold water will be all you get (we were 3rd floor balcony room). And the noise at night from boat horns and trains was terrible.

I really like the location cause it’s right next to the French quarter but not so far in that you can’t sleep all night from the noise. Very nice rooms, staff was friendly. Would def stay again

The hotel's furniture was old and uncomfortable. Some of the staff were short and rude. The room smelled musty. There was no ventilation in the bathroom and the A/C was loud and smelly. The only good thing about this hotel was the location.

The room was nice, though the hallways had a bit of a damp smell typical for older buildings in the area. The lift was slow, but the front desk staff were wonderful. Unfortunately, the cleaning staff management was quite aggressive. My husband likes to sleep in on vacation, and despite requests to clean after we left each day, the room was never tidied. On our second day, the cleaning manager called the room around 11 AM, mistakenly thinking it was vacant, and then came by, insisting on seeing my husband’s ID and even forcing the door open to take a photo. Reception later apologized for the confusion, but it was very disruptive. We never did receive cleaning, and on our last day, a cleaner waited outside the room before checkout time.

Beautiful room, a bit noisy at times, but our room was by the elevator. The older woman at the front desk needs to improve her attitude a little, smile more. The restaurant on site was lovely Polynesian food and drinks. The hostess needs a little help, she seemed confused, totally frazzled. The place is so cute would have loved to have dinner there

Wonderful ladies in the morning. Mailane was despicable. I have always loved Bienville House. Stayed there many times before the renovation. Sadly, I will not return. There are far too many options in this wonderful city to tolerate the treatment I received from Mailane.

This is an old hotel. The floors are wavy, posing a safety hazard. There was mold on the balcony door, another safety hazard. The staff was a bit gruff when checking in.

Day staffing, especially Cynthia was extremely nice. Night lady was not too nice. Property is located in great walking distance. Old and needs a good upgrade. This is an historic property and it is beautiful, however it could use the carpeting replaced in halls, pool was not cleaned, you can use the pool at the other property, that would have been nice, I would old have liked to use the pool where I am.,the Tiki bar is also a good option as the location. Have stayed at this beautiful place before with my mother. Would like to stay again. We Hank you for all the morning staffing that assisted and always made you feel welcome in our his great city.
