Terrible experience. When we arrived, one room we had reserved was dirty and not made up and the other had two beds rather than the advertised three and one of the two beds was a sofa bed with dirty linens wadded up in it. Since there was no housekeeping on site, we had to be given a different room to replace the one that had not been cleaned at all. Only two beds in the one room meant having to get a third room. The toilet barely worked. The walls were so thin that we finally had to knock on the door of the adjacent room to ask them to turn down their TV. Told there was a city view but it was of a parking garage. Sheets for sofa bed were almost unusable due to strong bleach smell and elsewhere the cleaning products smell was strong. But the coffee was good. I would not recommend this hotel.

The staff were attentive and friendly and gave excellent suggestions for the area. They accommodated us when our check-in was earlier than expected and held our bags when we checked out hours before our flight until we were ready for them. The art gallery had some nice pieces, and the restaurant next door seemed wonderful (oddly enough we didn't go there but I feel like we should have). Best part was we were near all the action without being in the middle of it, which made sleeping much easier.

Hotel was clean and beautifully furnished. Love the decor and the large rooms. The staff made me feel welcome and very knowledgable about the about the area. Hotel location was near my favorite restaurants and attractions.

Almost perfect except that I stayed on 3rd floor and I was always awaken by the footsteps on top of my room at wee hours in the morning (around 2am) in 2 of my 3 nights stay. Staff, service and location is amazing.

The property was a perfect central location. Walking distance from all the hot spots as well as Cafe du Monde and the paths along the Mississippi River! Check in was super easy and Freddie our concierge was everything and more. He gave us top food and fun recommendations. The rooms have original hardwoods and boast beautiful high ceilings. My only cons would be the lighting (plenty of lamps in room but no recessed lighting and the water pressure for the shower wasn’t the best. Other than that staff were great and place was clean.

I never leave bad reviews but I wanted to leave one for this place. Our group checked int 2 separate rooms for 7 nights. The rooms where small but that was no big deal as it is in a old building down town. My room was very musty/mold smelling. The air unit was leaking all over the floor. We thought it was just from not being used so we stayed a night. The next morning we woke up stuffed up. We went to breakfast with the others on our trip to find that their room was the same way. The hotel was completely booked so no chance of another room to try so we ended up finding another place for the rest of our trip.
