I personally love the location as its a 15min walk in one direction to Boubon/Canal St. (Big tourist club/shopping area) and a 15min walk in the other towards Frenchman St. (Live music area frequented by many of the locals and "tourist in the know.") I also like thats its a 15min walk into Treme, which hold a personal historical significance for me. My only major dislikes is that the rooms lack a mini fridge, theres no elevators to the upper floors and since you have to be buzzed in you could have a wait if the single front desk staff is in the restroom or stepped away for any reasons. Lastly, while this is not an issuse for me, others may have issue with the fact the general area appears to be in the process of gentification and has a fair share of homeless and the occassional "streetwalker" walking around.

The property has the charm you are looking for. Shutter doors that open into the courtyard from your room, the history that you can feel and that is well preserved was exactly what my sister and I were looking for. The staff was amazing, they went out of their way to help us. My sister is disabled and they went above and beyond helping us in and out of the building. When we needed something for the roo, they were prompt and if we had questions about the area they happily gave us the information. We would definitely stay here again.

BOOK AT YOUR OWN RISK
DO NOT BOOK HERE!!! On day 2 of our trip, someone dropped a feces filled adult brief on the side of the building and after notifying the staff several times about it, it remained there for the entirety of our trip. The day before we checked out, the staff informed us that our charges would be $300 more than what was agreed upon on this app and they are trying to bill my card for more that was stated in the agreement.

It was a cute property with an authentic NOLA feel. It had a tray of muffins and coffe in the morning so if you are looking for a small low key hotel, this is the place.

The night clerk and security guard was very friendly and accommodating however the day shift clerks was rude and unfriendly. One clerk stayed on her phone and rarely looked up to engage in conversation.
