We enjoyed our 6 nights at the Sonder on Canal St, New Orleans. Good location for public transit to the french quarter or a reasonable 25-30 minute walk and good location to get to other site seeing places. The apartment was clean, the furniture new, the bed was v comfy! I would have liked a few more utensils in the kitchen: chopping board, dish cloth, wooden spoons, flipper to flip eggs. The staff also mentioned that our dishwasher wasn’t working and offered us $100 refund, not sure how I that gets credited to me.

Not bad but not a favorite
Rented this unit for 10 days so that I could recover from a surgery before returning home. When we showed up the floors were dirty with what appeared to be lint/fibers. Maybe from what looked to be new rugs. Nonetheless, needed to be swept. The dishwasher was broken and when we contacted Sonder we were told they knew about the problem and would provide soap so we could handwash. Super inconvenient as I couldn’t stand, or lean over the sink long enough to complete the task. They then provided us with extra hand soap and dishwasher pods… for hand washing the dishes?? The restock locations were also low on supplies or missing things entirely. The square toilets were uncomfortable and weird. As was the super long hallway to the bedrooms that reminded me of the hallway in the shining. REDRUM anyone? Also, be aware you are RIGHT next to a hospital so be prepared for sirens all day and ALL NIGHT. Over all, we were comfortable and enjoyed our stay but I don’t think I would use this location in the future.

Good size apartment with two separate bedrooms and a large open plan kitchen/dining/living space. Linen was clean and fresh and the apartment was generally clean and tidy. The air con can be controlled in the bedrooms but not in the hallway - this made it a bit cool and noisy. The area did not seem very busy at night so made me wary about venturing out after dark - especially with security on the door.

Overall, this property is great, but it’s quite pricey. I like the separate condo-style units for staying in. The rooftop pool is a nice idea, but it’s way too small for the number of customers it can accommodate. Additionally, the railing needs improvement for safety. The main reason I didn’t give this property a high rating is the lack of customer support. I encountered several issues that weren’t resolved despite being assured they would be handled.

Check-in and check-out procedures are pretty easy, instructions were clear. The apartment is pretty big, comfortable and there are many parking spots availables around it. Be aware that parking in New Orleans is a little bit expensive in general, not only there. I highly recommend it.

Enjoyable stay in new orleans
Great place to stay. The streetcar is right outside and the place was really nice. I loved having a living room and kitchen, washer and dryer and there is a gym and pool within the Sonder. Highly recommend.
