The room I stayed in had no windows! No microwave! There was a mini fridge, but the hotel lost or ran out of keys to unlock. I couldnt store my food or use the mini bar so food spoiled. They offered food & drink voucher for their restaurant at hotel bar. But, seemed like kitchen was closed most of the day. Only open for short windows of time to get food. Room extremely small. The shower made noises throughout the night. No tub. Hotel forced us to pay $18 a night for amenities but none of the amenities were available except for a bottle of water. No bikes available. Not even sure what the other amenities were supposed to be. No cable or streaming service for tv so only a couple of channels available. Walls extremely thin! Could hear conversations in the hallway all night. 30 mins after checkin housekeeping &/or maintenance walked into my room unannounced without knocking using a key! Said they werent aware anyone was still in room and asked when I was leaving. Asked could they come in to check the room. All this while I was dressing! When I spoke to management, they said it was because I was an early check-in as if it was my fault. Staff seemed kinda snobby at check in to the point i had to ask a manager for assistance. Front desk staff couldn't figure out how to charge card due to the extra fees at check in not mentioned on the Expedia website. Hotel is in a great area. Free wifi. Walking distance to everything. They offer discounts on local tours. Cute hotel outside & lobby

Such a cool experience but bad creaky floors
We only stayed to enjoy somewhere nice to sleep on our road trip so I can only speak for the two separate nights we stayed there. The hotel itself is amazing! I love the art, the atmosphere/vibe, and even the smell. The restaurant attached to it is absolutely delicious and the bartenders are truly talented. However, on our first night we didn't know better and stayed on the second floor. We noticed the wooden creaky floors when we walked in our room but we didn't realize that we would hear creaky floors above our room all night! Unfortunately we didn't sleep very well and had an 8 hour drive to do the next day. On our way back from our trip we requested to stay on the 4th floor and slept wonderfully! However our only complaints on the second night was the TV mount was crooked. But since we only watched something until we got sleepy it was no big deal for us. Overall it was a fantastic experience for our first time staying in a hotel in New Orleans. Even with the lack of sleep, the amazing service and the environment made it worth it in the end.

The location of this property is great. The staff is warm and welcoming. The rooms are set up a bit strangely. The door to the bathroom has glass. It’s textured, but you can see through it so we had to put a blanket over the door. The floors in the room are slippery! I wish they would put some rugs down or provide slippers. My cousin and I almost wiped out a couple of times. You can’t walk around in socks. The floor was also very slanted. We had to keep our suitcases on one side of the room because they would roll that way if you tried to leave them on the other side. We were also on the side facing the street and it was pretty noisy, nothing outside normal city-noise, but just sharing so you are aware. It was easy to get ride-shares out front and it was fairly close to everywhere we wanted to go. I don’t really know what you get for the amenity fee. We did use the $20 credit at the cafe to get breakfast one morning and it was good. I wish hotels still had coffee machines in the room. Overall, it was a pleasant stay!

Nice looking, but lacking comfort & amenities
Hotel is centrally located in the downtown area with a lot of great food & drink around, including Canal Street and streetcars/transportation/parking lots. Great location for parade routes - we were in town for the Halloween parade and stood basically out front. We enjoyed using the fitness area, lobby coffee shop, and comfortable lobby for quick breaks. When we interacted with staff, they were very nice, but upon arriving (around 2:30am one night) and upon leaving (4:30am another day) we could not locate front desk staff which was very disappointing. They were also out of keys for the minibars in the room so we could not access that or use the fridge. We didn't have housekeeping come during our stay but did ask the front desk to send them - they didn't arrive. None of these things were dealbreakers but worth noting. Comfort in this hotel was low, which is the dealbreaker for future trips. The walls are very thin and floors are very loud, so we were awoken all night by loud noises all around us including heavy walking above. Mattresses are not bad but bedding is limited and more/thicker blankets are needed, as are additional bath towels.

Location of the hotel is excellent. I love the history of the building and the food was outstanding. Our room lacked an attention to detail. Our room had paint splatters all over the floor. The shower tile had paint splatters and the room was very dusty. It seemed like construction had been done and not cleaned up after. Disappointed.
