Great place, great sleep
Received a friendly welcome from reception staff. Our room was very clean, well maintained and tastefully decorated. Lovely bed, slept beautifully.

Comfortable room for short stay. Nice bed and bathroom. Parking was expensive at $20 per night but some limited free parking out front. Walkable to town restaurants. Nice lobby bar.

Pretty nice place. Clean and comfortable. Very easy to go to the city center by walking. Parking is not free, $20 a day. But can park on the street or a few free parking in the hotel yard. Some tenants in the hall were quite noisy. But luckily they didn't keep loud after midnight.

Everything was amazing except for someone running down the hall all night and I couldn’t sleep, same thing with the bathroom …toilet kept making noises like it was filling up the flush water all night

The reception staff were amazing! Made us feel welcome and nothing was a problem. Our room was perfect and we slept really well. We had breakfast in the restaurant and it was YUM. Thank you to all the staff at Novotel, New Plymouth.

Comfortable but not luxurious
Clean and comfortable room, but lots of little niggles. Accor seem to have gone on a profit kick, you can’t just check in and go and put your feet up - they tell you all about their membership first. Full fridge of things to buy in the room, but a note saying you can call reception for milk for your coffee if you want it. Even the water is for a fee. The TV has a weird surround that means you have to turn it up weird to hear it. And if you’re a few minutes late to check out, you’ll get a call to chase you out the building. Not the best, maybe not worth the price.
