It was ok experience nothing bad Rooms were congested, and we could here loud noises as there was party going on the next room. Its Korean town their were prompt in reminding us to check out by knocking the door. That was really weird. I liked the place as it is middle of town and i like Korean cuisine and it was easy accessible

Hotel and the City is a good place to stay if you are looking for somewhere good value and central in Midtown, New York City. The building is in an OK location just off Broadway and close to subway stations. The rooms are conversions of old apartments - some floors still have permanent residents. We rented one of the rooms on the top floor. It had two double beds pushed together and bunk beds, with enough room for six people to sleep. There is an en suite with shower and a kitchenette with stove, microwave and fridge. Everything is fairly recently modernised so I’m good condition. Best of all on the top floor the rooms have access to a small private patio area. It has seats for six and a large umbrella for shade. Plus views of the Empire State Building! The place seems popular with families and small groups. There’s a laundry and snack machines downstairs behind the security desk. Overall the place feels safe, isn’t too noisy, is handy for all the sights and it’s great to be able to hang out outside in the evening. We would come back here again.

This hotel doesn’t look like much from the outside…the entrance has a green canopy with a door. The room was exceptional…fresh, clean, & large enough to sleep 5 people. It was a bit expensive but it would have cost this much or more had I paid for 2 rooms elsewhere to accommodate 5 people. My only suggestion for this hotel for the future is to include a few washcloths with the towels. Otherwise, I really liked this hotel and would stay there again.

The room was too small for a family of five. The pictures made it look like we would have room to stand/walk. There was only space enough for one person to stand/walk at one time. The mattresses were too hard. The whole floor smelled of garlic. If you like the hostel concept this place is fine. I needed four beds for five people. And I got that.

Great location, great host, great room, great price. Confy beds, very clean! It’s hard to find a comfortable room in NYC that can sleep more than four people. Especially for it to be affordable. If you need that little extra sleeping space, this hotel is your spot!! Great stay, we will be back.

Good communication before stay. The location is really good, close to empire state and a short walk to Times Square. Was able to check in early. Space is small but it’s expected in a big city. Not a lot of natural light but we only wanted to sleep there so it was perfect. Clean. Microwave. Easy to leave bags on last day while we were exploring then came back to collect before going to airport.
