The hotel it’s OK. I think 3 stars would be fair, considering my experience. The A/C in the room is only automatic and you cannot change it. I got sick from my throat because of the Air from the A/C was too direct to the bed and I’m sure the filters were not clean either. I almost didn’t recognize the hotel when arriving because there was many garbage black bags in front of the Hotel.. I couldn’t believe that was the same hotel from the pictures.

Hotel Hendricks is charming and very convenient. Bar area is great with outdoor seating. Very nice. Also a Rooftop bar with Empire State Building view which is great to have access to .

Hotel is in a great location, walking distance to everything you need. Upon checking in, staff were friendly however, we did feel we weren’t given much information like what time check out was, that you had to swipe your room key to access your floor in the lift etc. The room was clean and was refreshed every day. The tv didn’t seem to have any accessible channels but we didn’t really need to use it so it didn’t really bother us. The room is quiet although the air con can be a bit noisy at times but luckily for us we didn’t need it on through the night. Other than the bits I’ve mentioned all was good.

Good location for a quick stay, no frills
The hotel was fine for an overnight. I wouldn’t recommend for longer. Bathroom was not super clean & the hair dryer was broken. The bar was closed and there was no coffee in the morning, (although there was a Keurig in the room). It was a great location with accessible self parking garage.

From the way the pictures show off this property online, this should have been a 5-star experience but it was not. The best phrase to describe it is "Lipstick on a Pig". Upon entering the room, the curtains were falling off, there was no in-room minibar or amenities as shown in the pictures, layers of dust in the closet, and several broken and worn down fixtures in the room. It took two days to fix anything without mentioning trying to make the experience right. (discount, dinner credit, free coffee?) Let every buyer beware.... your money is better spent elsewhere. Avoid this property at all costs.

Hotel room was small but fine. Staff was cordial. Has a rooftop bar…but it closes at 10:30…in NYC. What closes at 10:30 in NYC??? Was going to try the restaurant on the lobby level. Asked hostess to view the menu. She gave us a dirty one. We passed. Resort fee is ridiculous. You pay for the use of “the gym”. The gym is a small room with two pieces of equipment and some free weights.

Worst Customer Service!
This is the WORST place to stay! I had a late evening check in and I purposely called ahead at 6pm to confirm and ensure my room would be ready and waiting because some hotels will give your room away if you arrive really late. Upon arrival at 11:30pm I was told they had given my room away! It was the week of Comicon and there wasn't a single hotel available within 90 miles. I spent two hours on the phone, called almost 40 hotels from their lobby trying to secure other accommodations without ANY help from their staff. I had a huge meeting the next day and no where to sleep. Needless to say I didn't perform well. Finally I was able to get ahold of a colleague at 2am and had to sleep on their hotel room couch at the expense of waking them up. It is still astounding to me that they didn't call me to confirm I was still coming, or even send me an email or a note. I had paid for that room and it should be mine even if I don't show up! Regardless, if you want good customer service, I would not recommend staying here as you will not get it. Don't arrive past 7pm or they will give your room away!

New York fall visit
Hendricks is a great place to stay. Just round the corner is times square, the empire state building and maduson square garden. The staff were lovely and made us feel welcome. Well and the roof top bar....well...amazing. would definitely stay there again.
