We waited too long to make a hotel reservation for New Year's Eve, and the only hotel that we could find was Hotel MOCA NYC. We were hesitant to book it because the rating was so low, but we figured it was just for one night. To our happy surprise, the hotel was very acceptable; clean, plenty of hot water, thermostat controllable from the room, and everything in good repair. The #1 subway was just a five minute walk away. It wasn't fancy, but it was sufficient for our purposes.

We booked a bedroom with two double beds because I was traveling alone with 2 kids when we arrived we said they didn't have any bedroom with two beds so we need to be in two different bedrooms no other options. In Both bedrooms the shower didn't work, the windows were broken, terrible manteniance and dirty.

Decent hotel
This is an average hotel. When I went to check-in I saw they had short stay rates which surprised me such as for 2 hours, 4 hrs etc.

Very unsatisfied. No microwave available in rooms. Microwave in lobby was broken. Made reservation for 2 people. Provided enough towels for one. When arrived the police were there for an issue. Tv didnt work had to go down and ask for internet info. Not located in a safe area. Appearance looked very cheap. Was not worth what I was charged. Not even sure why its on Expedia.

1. The first room wasn't cleaned and there was underwear in the bathroom from another guest. Unacceptable! They change the room 2. Due to water leaking from the sanitary next door in the second room we were in, all our luggage was full of dirty water! Out clothes too, we had to throw them away
