We stayed here for night as we wanted to be near Penn station. It suited this purpose. We had not realised there wasn’t a lift, so faced carrying luggage up 3 flights of stairs. However staff were very helpful and found us a room on the ground floor.

We loved our stay! Check in was easy and the front desk staff was very friendly! Right near Madison square garden and walkable to Times Square as well! We loved our room, very homey and comfy. 10/10 would recommend and we will be back!

Bathroom window does not lock, the tv has no service. The door was wide open when we arrived. The rooms have not been updated for a very long time. There is no way to adjust the heat. We only stayed a short overnight, sure glad it was not any longer. Very odd wall decorations

Hotel stay was horrible ! There was mold in the shower head that I was visibly able to see . We told the front desk . They did send a lady to clean eh shower head . But so she did was while the surface with windex ? The toilet leaked with water terribly . There was rust on everything in the bathroom except for the toilet. There was no cold water and that is a problem beings though it was about 30 degrees. The lady to prior that the hot water did not work & failed to let us know beforehand . The rooms were so cold due to the draft that came in the window ! Horrible , horrible stay & I wish I could get my money back ! Quality over quantity . I do not recommend this hotel at all . The cleanliness is not up to par . And I was terrified sleeping in the room with the mold ! That hotel ruined our experience.

Just two minutes walk to Penn station so really easy to get from there to JFK. The room was small but clean, bed very comfortable and the bedding was very clean. Downside, my room was up 4 flights of stairs with no elevator. In NYC lack of elevator in an old building is no surprise but for some weird reason the guy at reception decided that the 4th floor would be better for me than the 3rd - that's a long way up for a 70 year old woman!! On the upside though - free exercise - I didn't need to go the gym :)

Starting with the positives, the sheets on the bed seemed clean and the room was warm. Which was good because we could not get the temperature to change. Now for the rest. There is no elevator so we carried our luggage up the steps to our room. I am 73 so that was fun. The room was also not well cleaned and there were mystery items under the bed and a coating of visible dust. We had 3 flat pillows and no blanket.There was only scalding water in the sink. The tub didn't have a drain cap and looked like it was caulked by a kindergartener. We had no washcloths. The soap was the size and thickness of a half-dollar. No hairdryer. There was one small drawer below the foot wide space to hang your clothes. The TV was positioned so that you could not watch it from the bed. The plugs kept falling out of the outlets. The switchplates were hung with a 1/4-1/2" gap from the wall. There was a strange stain on the wall, too. The bathroom door looked like someone or some animal was gnawing on it. It was so noisy that there was a jar of free earplugs at the check in desk. This hotel has no restaurant or even a coffee maker. There was a microwave on a cube next to the ATM in the check in space. I am not going to call it a lobby as it was smaller than a room.You could leave your luggage if you came too early to check in but you had to leave it in full view next to check in. At night the neighorhood seems unsafe. A lot could be corrected but someone would have to care.
