I have been visiting this hotel for over 15 years. As always, the staff were terrific, kind and helpful. The location - across the street from the UN - is perfect. The views of the city skyline and the East River are, as ever, spectacular. Unfortunately, we had to ask a lot of the staff: the safe in the room was broken, one of the lamps was broken and the coffee brewer for all coffee drinks was broken downstairs in the Cafe. The restaurant has been the same for over a decade and felt kind of sad.

I ordered a room yesterday , 1 king size bed with city view (you can see in history ) when I arrived I was given a room , (double bed ) I didn’t buy that . They said they were over booked that the room I originally wanted was sold out already

Very Comfortable relaxing Stay!
Room is a little pricey but very nice room that was spacious and roomy. Bed was comfortable and the views from my room were amazing! They also have one of the best hotel gyms I've ever seen. This hotel is close to everything and is very clean. Would definitely stay again. Only thing I had a problem with was $35 fee.

Great stay, but use Uber Eats for food
The hotel was great, we loved the huge comfy king size bed. The shower was great as well, plenty of water flow and convenient Crabtree and Evelyn shampoo and body wash. The staff were all pleasant. The one downside as you'd expect in NYC was the $35 meal credit scam, you're charged $35 which you can only get back as meal credit. Not the worst thing in the world until you find out that breakfast at the hotel restaurant is $60 PER PERSON.

I recently stayed at this hotel for an important business trip, and unfortunately, my experience was far below expectations. On my first day, I urgently needed internet access for a critical Zoom meeting, but the hotel’s network was completely unreliable. On my final day, I encountered another issue when the TV in my room wouldn’t work. I called the front desk several times, even requesting to speak with a manager, but my request was ignored. The customer service and front desk staff were unresponsive and dismissive, leaving me feeling as though my concerns didn’t matter. This lack of professionalism and responsiveness made my stay incredibly frustrating, especially for someone relying on basic amenities to work effectively. I expected much more in terms of service and support and, unfortunately, wouldn’t recommend this hotel for business travelers or anyone who values attentive service.
