The hotel is well-maintained, clean, and free from broken equipment, which made my stay very comfortable. The breakfast was enjoyable, and I appreciated that it was included. The staff were exceptionally friendly and polite, adding to the positive experience. However, the area surrounding the hotel is not ideal—it was noisy and not particularly clean. Despite this, the hotel itself was excellent and provided a pleasant stay.

Staying here was great. The receptionist DARCY was nice and had great customer service. The only thing is that the parking is not so great. With this hotel being such a great place I think they should have a bigger parking garage or parking on the side street just for this hotel. But myself and my husband definitely enjoyed our stay!!

Great hotel
The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are well appointed. We got a complimentary upgrade to a suite which was nice. The staff was very efficient with requests and were polite. Admittedly, the neighborhood leaves much to be desired but it is close to the subway and there are a lot of recognized food options very near by. Even though the area was full of a cast os characters, we never felt unsafe and didn't have any issues with the locals. I would stay there again.

Hidden gem in the southern Bronx. What a great hotel in New York City. Friendly staff, beautiful, historic building, larger than normal rooms for NYC, quiet and clean. A wish the neighborhood was a little better, but properties like this can lead to a change. The neighborhood isn't terrible, but you need to be careful when heading out after dark.
