The room had a lot of quirks. Light switches were difficult to operate. The switch on the mirror fell off repeatedly. The TV didn’t work correctly. Made it feel like I was definitely overpaying. Additionally hotel staff were not as friendly as they had been on previous visits. Feels like the hotel is going downhill.

I travel for business and pleasure 4-6x a month, in both the USA and Europe. This hotel is the worst I’ve stayed at in all of 2024. I did not receive my vip room upgrade at check in. The bedding was not changed. The room phone did not work. I had to call multiple times for new bedding from my cell phone. The manager returned my calls after leaving a message and offered to upgrade me to the upgrade I was supposed to have at check in, but not until halfway through my stay. The rooms were loud, the rooftop parties caused a thumping beat well into early morning hours in our room. The bathroom sink had almost no countertop space. The closet was smaller than a cruise ship closet. The lack of customer service was truly disappointing, especially for my status with Expedia and Amex. I will not stay here again, highly suggest you stay at the Bowery instead if looking for great service in this neighborhood.

When we arrived there was no doorman available. No room service. Had to go downstairs to get Uber eats. Essentially no staff available to help with anything. It's all self service to rent a tiny box. Then on checkout there is no one again to help with bags and had to break my back trying to lug these huge bags around. I was staying at 1 Hotel Central Park before and it was amazing service. You arrive without any hassle and checkout the same. Total opposite of this experience

Highly recommend this hotel for a chic stay in NYC! Great location, really nice rooms, great outlets on property (bars, restaurants, coffee). Book a room with a view, it's worth it!
