Stayed three nights and was more than pleased. Close to shows, museum exhibits, shopping and dining. Had an early dinner at the rooftop and enjoyed the food, amazing atmosphere and excellent service. Room was fairly quiet given the location, cleverly designed to maximize the space, comfortable bed and very clean. Received excellent service by all hotel staff and they kept my bag for an extra hour before heading to the airport. Great experience! I’ll stay there again.

Very overrated.
Bedroom has no window, so it feels like you're in a small box. Staff were rude and unhelpful. No one to help with luggage or opening of heavy front door. Gym is tiny, and really only can be used by one person at a time. Adjustable dumbbells were broken, and barely any equipment or machines.

Service and hospitality was great - a bit slow and unconscious of the lines of guest but once greeted, the service was great. Breakfast was slim pickings and the rooms were really small especially given the price per room.

My wife and I booked a room for 1 night for our 15th wedding anniversary. The experience was a pleasure from start to finish. Linz and Eddie at the front desk were especially helpful. I couldn't recommend more. It's also quite reasonably priced compared to other hotels in the area.

Would be great if it was cheaper.
It was fine. Continental breakfast was as you would expect, rooms were cozy but very noisy. Not just because of the city, the hotel itself is noisy. There is no coffee in the room but they do have it in the lobby.

The Sanctuary lived up to its name. Just 1 block away from the hustle and bustle of Time Square. As soon as you walk through those double doors you enter peace and tranquility. It’s 1 block away from the a metro stop as well. Beautiful rooftop restaurant in the Haven. Try the Penne ala Vodka. Excellent.

Beautiful Quiet Hotel with a Decorator’s Touch
We stayed in an absolutely beautiful room: great bed with fluffy bedding, very striking bathroom with a super dark-tiled floors and shower. Everything about the hotel was exactly as the name suggests - a Sanctuary in the middle of Manhattan Island! We loved the Sanctuary Hotel in all ways!

This is a hidden gem of the theatre district! I have rarely stayed where I felt welcomed like I did at Sanctuary. The name is fitting! All the charm of a smaller hotel with all the perks of a larger hotel!

We loved the location of the hotel to all the main spots around downtown Manhattan. We were close to Times Square, Broadway and Rockefeller Center. The subway entrance to the D train that took us everywhere else we wanted to go was only a few steps outside the hotel. The staff were awesome! The front desk staff were all friendly and helpful as were the doormen. They helped us find restaurants and other locations nearby and always welcomed us back asking how our meal was like they remembered us and where we went. We will definitely stay here again!

Very small room. A small window that faces nothing so it’s quite dark. The shower and “bathroom” sink are not even separate from the rest of the room. (There’s a curtain….) Also less than optimal was a TV that was maybe 2. Bottom line - I have never spent so much money on such a tiny room.
