I was super excited to go back to New York City I hadn't been in more than 20 years. Recalling that last visit to NYC I remember booking Hotel through only to find upon arrival that the hotel was overbooked and we didn't have a room. Unfortunately I had Deja vu. When we arrived at the Pearl on October 16th they had sold our room! They claimed that someone had been sick and they couldn't kick them out of the room but that wasn't true. They took us to a neighboring property which was several Stars below this one we were put in a room with two full size beds, I was traveling with my husband and we had booked a king room at the pearl. We had to stay in that other hotel for one night. We were assured by the Pearl that we would have our room as booked the next day. Needless to say it put a speed bump on our travels but once we were safely ensconced at the Pearl, upgraded to a room with a balcony no less, we enjoyed the property very much. We booked it because of limited Services because we figured, and we were correct, we need all of our meals out. The staff from the evening of our first arrival and one of the porters at the front were absolutely terrible. Rude, indifferent. I would have expected more from all staff members given the circumstances of our checking in. However, there were two bright spots one front desk agent & one Porter were Superior in their service, kindness, and general helpfulness. I tipped $$$.

Entire staff was welcoming, helpful and friendly. Rooms were immaculate, housekeeping efficient and thorough. We will stay here again when back in NYC :-) The bathroom doorstop in floor is a safety hazard. Entering the shower, I tripped on it, stubbed my toe and fell into the sharp wall cutting a hole in my hand (still healing). As a retired safety expert, I recommend removing them to avoid future accidents/law suits :-(

Excellent stay at The Pearl New York. Conveniently located in the Theatre district but so quiet. Rooms are huge and well equipped with a tv and fridge. There is also a kuerig coffee machine and a microwave. Love the L’Occitane bathroom products. Highly recommend this hotel and will definitely return to this hotel if I ever get the chance to visit New York again.

I stayed here recently with my husband and daughters and it was perfect! The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable and the location was absolutely perfect! They had even upgraded us to a suite!! We had absolutely no complaints and will be staying here again on our next visit!
