This newly renovated home sleeps up to eight guests and is a great base to visit all of Northumberland and Newcastle’s attractions. If you are looking for a cosy, yet spacious home to enjoy, The Orchard is the perfect place.
The Space:
The Orchard has been beautifully designed with premium furnishings and interiors throughout. The house boasts a delightful kitchen, cosy living room and a spacious dining room where you can gather your loved ones together and enjoy quality time together. With fully equipped facilities, you’ll be able to make the most of your self-catering stay here.
You’ll find four spacious bedrooms at The Orchard, three on the ground floor and one on the first floor. Perfect for groups of friends or families, two rooms feature king size beds and two rooms are twins. Every bedroom benefits from a calming, neutral colour scheme and plush bedding.
The family bathroom features a bathtub, WC and wash basin. The house also has an ensuite shower room attached to the first-floor bedroom which also boasts a WC and basin.
There is plenty of outdoor space to enjoy at The Orchard, so you’ll have incredible views of the garden and countryside ahead. You will find a large garden, orchard and summerhouse in the grounds of the property.
Guest Access:
Guests have access to the full property. Due to the property's rural location, guests may struggle to find the property, however a map will be provided prior to your arrival for ease of access.
The keys to The Orchard are accessed via a key safe box, and full details will be provided prior to your stay.
Private on-site parking is available for up to four vehicles.
Please note that there are CCTV cameras at The Orchard - one on the front of the house where the cars are parked, and one focussing on the back garden gate. These cameras are installed for guest safety and security.

The nearest towns and villages to Plessey are Cramlington and Morpeth.
Bustling, historic Morpeth is the largest town in Northumberland and it combines traditional market town-charm with stylish high streets, modern shopping centres and upscale bars. Quaint, cobbled streets, quirky farmers’ markets and classic general markets give the town an irresistible antiquity and showcase its unique heritage and beauty.
Nearby Cramlington boasts a variety of amenities, making it an attractive place to visit. The town centre features a mix of traditional and contemporary architecture, housing an array of shops, restaurants, cinema and cafes. The Manor Walks Shopping Centre is a popular destination for visitors, offering a diverse shopping experience.
There are several popular local attractions nearby that can be reached via walking routes from The Orchard. Northumberlandia “The Lady of the North” is a unique piece of public art set in a 46-acre community park with free public access and four miles of footpaths on and around the landform.
Plessey Woods Country Park borders the wooded River Blyth as it meanders through farmland between Bedlington and Cramlington. There are 100 acres to explore in total, but the most interesting parts are focused around the river itself, with a scenic path from The Orchard that leads to a river side pathway along the north bank. Plessey Woods Country Park, with its scenic trails and woodland areas, provides a serene escape for nature enthusiasts and families.
Getting Around:
Cramlington has fantastic rail links to locations all across the North East and Northumberland with direct routes to Haltwhistle, Hexham, Morpeth, Prudhoe, Newcastle and the Metrocentre. Rail access to Carlisle is also available.
The closest airport is Newcastle International, nine miles away from Cramlington.
