NO WHERE is more beautiful than ON BROWNINGTON POND. It is breathtaking! ... A peaceful, private and completely relaxing location and cottage. Something you might see in a movie. It is a place to get away from it all. Yet only 7 miles to shopping in Newport Vt. There is a TV & DVD and a bookcase for reading. There are 2 kayaks and a row boat for your use for free. We don't charge for anything including the firewood for the outside pit. A quiet, slowdown cottage ! NO PETS NO EXCEPTION !

We live only a short walking distance away and we will try to meet your every need. Just cross the small covered bridge & you will find us.
During your stay at this cottage, you'll be close to Old Stone House Museum.

Perfect getaway by the water
My experience at The Secret of the Swallowtail, was nothing short of extraordinary, thanks to the exceptional hospitality of Tony and Gigi. Nestled by the serene lake, this quaint getaway exudes charm and tranquility, making it an ideal retreat. Upon arrival, Tony and Gigi warmly welcomed us and immediately made us feel at home. Their dedication to ensuring our comfort and satisfaction was remarkable. Tony not only accommodated our needs but went above and beyond by taking us on a mesmerizing boat ride around the lake. His knowledge of the area and passion for sharing its beauty truly enhanced our stay. Me and Tony love golf and he even offered to take me out on the local course! I still have to take him up on that offer so we’ll definitely be back soon!

We had a wonderful weekend stay. The cottage was perfect, the back lawn was perfect to fish from,play and soak up the sun. The inside was clean and well stocked.beautiful lilacs adorn the coffee table.hosts were amazing, friendly and accomadated all of our needs and beyond. We will be back to stay soon.

Piece of heaven
Great private getaway. Enjoyed waking up and kayaking the pond, sitting by the fire in the evening listening to the loons. Great cottage stay and would definitely be back!!!
