Very average but clean.
Door handle fell off when we entered the room. They could not fix it but the deadbolt was functional. The fan in the bathroom is a bit loud. The hot water was barely hot enough on a Saturday morning. Breakfast was ok but someone cooking biscuits set off the fire alarm and the biscuits we were offered while not burned were overdone.

Adequate best sums it up. I’ve stayed at worse. The facility overall is a little tired. Room was mostly clean, but some crumbs and food items in and around sofa. Bathroom was clean! Breakfast was ok, nothing special, but it got the job done. Staff was ok, helpful when asked but not overly friendly. Overall, would stay here again for one night, but probably not for longer.

DO NOT STAY HERE!! DISGUSTING!! This place should be torn down! White substance splattered on bed frame, rusted light fixtures, chipped paint in bathroom wall, television remote looks like it was chewed up by a dog!

Check in took a few extra minutes, not really sure why. Desk clerk was friendly, helpful. Didn't notice until next day the remote had a broken button, usable barely. Did get it replaced. Sink faucet was difficult to use, handle was very loose. Bath faucet was stuck, unable to properly use.

We travel with our dog. Very clean and convenient for dog families. It’s only a 1-night stay, but we have made this our go-to place on the way to the OBX.

I would rate my stay a 2 at best. I stayed two nights in September 2024. The property is extremely run down, not well maintained, and not very clean. I immediately regretted booking as soon as I walked in. The A/C was on and still the room felt humid/mildewy; the TV remote was broken so you could only turn it on and off but not change channels (it was CLEAR it was broken - the buttons were basically ripped off so the staff obviously doesn’t care); the shower was super slippery with no grips; the rug wasn’t vacuumed; and the sofa in the room was stained and I would definitely not sit on it. The room was spacious and the area is convenient to get around Newport News, which is good since I didn’t want to spent a second longer than necessary at the hotel.
