Overcharge and Inaccessible Support
I booked a room at the Norfolk Waterside Marriott through Hotels.com, with the arrangement to pay on site. However, my credit card was charged significantly more than the confirmed rate. When I tried to resolve the issue by contacting the hotel, the phone number on their website was non-functional, making it impossible to reach anyone. I then contacted Hotels.com for assistance and am still awaiting a resolution. This has been a very frustrating experience, and I believe the Norfolk Waterside Marriott could significantly improve their customer service.

Room was nice and bed was comfortable. View from 14th floor was good. The hallways on our floor was kept extremely cold. Dining options at the hotel were good and there are plenty of options nearby.

The hotel has been updated. The room was relaxing. Hotel is close to shopping and restaurants. Easy access to the ferry, which is $4 round trip per person. Must have exact change. The Visitor center is directly across the street. Downside- the indoor pool is about 70°. No hot tub. Our air conditioning did not work property. It was set on 67° but never reached under 71°. It was hot and humid.
