Liked: Cleanliness
Condo was great! The facility...just okay.
This review will first be on the condo, then on the facility, etc.
Check-in: Smooth and easy. Probably the easiest of any place we have stayed.
Condo: The room was neat and clean. It was a little outdated, the running joke the whole week was how the condo has more wicker furniture than The Golden Girls. All appliances were in good working order, it did seem like the freezer did not get as cold as it should as it would not freeze anything to a solid-state. The room has several extra windows due to being on the end of the building, that was really nice! All furniture and beds are comfy and served their purpose well. All in all, a great condo!
Facility, etc: This is where we had most of our complaints. The building has 18 floors of 3 and 4-bedroom condos, yet the pools, hot tub, and lazy river are only suitable for a 3-4 story motel. A family of 7 or 8 could easily fill up one pool. The "indoor" pool is the same size but is not heated and was very chilly. So much so that it stayed empty most of the time. The place also seems to have an urgency for high security. Wristbands must be worn at all times. It doesn't matter if security has seen you and your family for 5 days straight, if someone is missing that band they have to stop what they are doing and get it. The site has a strict 14 and up policy for the hot tub which was a first for me and my family. My 9-year-old LOVES hot tubs. On our first day in the pool area, she got in with me, my wife, and our teenage kids. Even had permanent residents tell us to let her in, so we did. About 10 minutes later we were approached by the security guard, who did not talk to me or my wife....but directly to my daughter and said, "You don't look 14. Are you 14? Get out of the hot tub!" I get having rules and we had no problem with her not being allowed, but come on...be nice about it. By the end of the week, she was telling me, "I hate it here, do we have to come back?" I told my wife, "When we are in the pool area, I feel like I am in a prison yard being watched by the guards."
The best I can describe it is like this. If you are in your mid-40s to your 80s+ and you're not bringing any kids. It's the perfect place for you. If you have teens and/or young kids...go somewhere else. The location is good in relation to Main Street and some stores. But in all honesty, the facility is lacking quality amenities that young people would see as fun. We'll not be back.
