Location:

The Blue Cottage is nestled in the picturesque coastal community of Oak Island, North Carolina. Situated on a quiet residential street, it’s just a short 10-minute walk to multiple public beach accesses, providing easy and convenient beach access for all guests.

Accommodations:

The cottage comfortably accommodates up to 6 adults and welcomes up to two pets with an additional $100 pet fee.

Bedrooms and Bathrooms:

On the first floor, the master bedroom features a queen-sized zero gravity Tempur-Pedic mattress, a dresser, a large closet, and a smart TV for your entertainment. The adjacent 4-piece bathroom is stocked with extra towels and linens. The second floor houses the second bedroom, which is equipped with two double mattresses, a dresser, and a smart TV. An adjacent 3-piece bathroom, also supplied with additional towels and linens, serves the second bedroom. An additional sleeping area is available by converting the living room sofa into a queen-size bed.

Kitchen:

The fully stocked kitchen is designed to make meal preparation easy and enjoyable. It includes new appliances, a diverse selection of cookware, tasteful beach-themed dinnerware, and a Keurig coffee machine for your morning brew.

Backyard:

The backyard is a spacious double lot enclosed by a privacy fence, featuring a patio with a table and chairs for four adults, a gas grill for barbecuing, a fire pit for cozy evenings, a pet sanitation station for your convenience, and a wash station to rinse off sand after a day at the beach.

Ownership and Management:

The home is owned and managed by a beach-loving family dedicated to providing a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Guests will receive a welcome packet upon booking, detailing a wide selection of amenities available on the island and in the surrounding areas. The family takes pride in their quick response to any questions or concerns during your stay.

Great cottage with spacious fenced backyard and powerful AC!
We stayed at the Blue Cottage for a long weekend with our pups and absolutely recommend this listing! Spacious, secure yard with lots of room for the pups to run. The kitchen was fully stocked with appliances and utensils. Large AC unit kept the house very cool all weekend. Not having a king bed was a minor inconvenience, but we made it work! Great spot for a small family to stay on Oak Island!

wonderful property in quiet neighborhood
melinda was great to work with, and the property is just as pictured, clean on arrival and had everything we needed for a relaxing long weekend. we enjoyed the outdoor spaces too(except those durn flies), and it was an easy 10 minute walk to the beach, we rented umbrellas and chairs from quicksand to make it easier. the decor is really cute beach-not overdone and keyless enrty great-once we got the hang of it-. the outdoor shower was nice for a rinse, and not having a dishwasher was no biggy.

We had a great stay at the house for 3 nights in August and it was our first time in Oak Island. The Blue Cottage was very comfortable for thee 4 of us and our Dog. We loved the fenced in backyard and it was a vert nice and well kept house.

This is an amazing cottage to stay at. It has everything you will need. The privacy fence for my dog was a huge plus. He had plenty of room to run. The cottage is located in a great location. Close to the beach and shops. Will definitely stay here again.

Loved out stay, the cottage was adorable and had everything almost everything that you need. Just be aware that there is no dishwasher. Totally could have been in the listing, I didn't see it. Otherwise, everything was good. Decor was fantastic.

Great, Pet Friendly vacation home!
We enjoyed our stay at the blue cottage! So much so that we extended our stay a day. This house was cozy and comfortable. The yard was super pet friendly for our 2 labs. It was shaded enough even in the hottest part of the day for our dogs to get out and stretch their legs. We were convenient to everything. The beds were comfortable, the couch was soft and the kitchen had everything needed for the nights we prepared food. We absolutely would stay here again!!

We (partner and I and 2 small dogs) enjoyed our stay. The house is cozy and clean and very dog friendly with a great strong fence for the backyard -- which isn't always the case in other dog-friendly rentals where I've stayed. The kitchen was well-equipped with all the essentials plates, silverware, pots, pans, etc. The host was incredibly responsive to a few very minor issues -- too minor to mention here. I'd certainly consider staying there again.

Wonderful weekend getaway!
The Blue Cottage is a beautiful home with everything you need for an amazing beach weekend! We (and the dog with us) had so much fun in the fenced backyard with a grill and fire pit, cooked in the well-appointed kitchen, and all of the beds were very comfortable at the end of the day. The walk to the beach is very scenic too! Would recommend staying here to anyone.
