We wanted a place with space to spread out with easy access to lots to do within walking distance, & this 3 BR townhouse fit the bill perfectly! Parking was great, as 2 reserved spots in the gated Belmont Towers garage are immediately outside the back door of the townhouse. First floor had open concept living/dining room w/ kitchen at one end & a half-bath near front door. There was plenty of seating for visiting & a few lawn chairs on front porch outside front door. Second floor had spacious master bedroom with large en-suite bath (large jetted tub, separate shower, & double sinks). Closet in master also was spacious. There was a balcony w/ lawn chairs on second floor that could be accessed from master bedroom or from small hallway sitting alcove that had a love seat.Third floor had 2 more bedrooms, each w/ own bath.
Townhouse is on side of Belmont Towers, a building that faces boardwalk & ocean, in heart of downtown Ocean City, a perfect location for parents accompanied by adult children in late 20s & early 30s. Location may be a bit loud for families w/ young children. Also, trash trucks emptied nearby dumpsters early each morning, which did not bother our group of early risers but might disturb those desiring a sleep-in. Another location perk was a small grocery less than a block away.
Although townhouse is spacious, furnishings are rather cheap. Sofas & chairs were comfortable but one adult felt bed assigned (in smallest 3rd floor bedroom) was so uncomfortable, he traded bed for a sofa after 1 night. Several cabinets & drawers in various rooms had knobs that would not stay on, & toilet in half-bath did not flush well, even with minimal use of TP. Fortunately, a plumbers friend was supplied there, but that also suggested to us an awareness of problem but lack of interest in any repair. Although there were plenty of plates, cups, & cereal bowls, there were only about 4 spoons & no frying pan larger than an omelet pan. Thus, kitchen was fine for bagels & coffee, but it was impossible to cook a family meal. One easy addition that would greatly improve comfort would be a basic reading lamp in living room & by chair in master bedroom—lighting is rather poor for reading in both spots.
Nonetheless, provided you’re not seeking luxury, this place was perfect for a relaxing getaway for our group with good places to gather & visit but also plenty of privacy to sleep, bathe, & such. We would return in an instAnr!
