The room was very unappealing, with food on the floor and in the sink. The bathtube was stained. We were there 5 minutes we told the staff we were unhappy with the room. They offered us another room which was just like the first one. We asked for a refund as we did not think the room was what was advertised. They gave us a run around at first telling us thst Expedia had to offer us the refund, The very helpful agent at Expedia told us they had to refund it. The Exoedia agent tried to reason with them and they hung up on him. We asked to speak to the manager she handed us a copy of the no refund agreement that we signed on sign in. I tried to explain we were only there 5 minutes and the room was not acceptable. She wouldn't even give us any eye contact. She eventually put us in an Ocean front room which was better, but, this room was also dirty and had what looked like bloid stains on the curtains and on the railings. We were just going to leave and dispute it with our CC. But, it was midnight at this point and we wanted to choose a name brand so we could be assured of a quality room. They were all sold out. We had stayed at this Hotel's other property previously and loved it, which is why we thought we would be ok here. Sadly, we were mistaken. While, the other staff we came in cintact with was wonderful, the night time manager was not the greatest. As we were leaving Sunday, we were putting the keys in the express checkout and she was passing by the box.

The room was outdated and absolutely filthy with something nasty dripping down on the walls and mold growing in the bathroom. There was a gap on the top and the bottom of the entry door that a mouse could easily walk straight thru. The pool was dirty and the walkway around it was always wet to the point that black mold was growing and slimy. I've been spending summers down Ocean City since I was born and the Carousel use to be one of the top hotels in the area but now it is an utter disgrace. Oh, and the food was discussing. There is nothing I can say that's positive about the hotel anymore! I've had a lot of family through the years that have stayed there and was excited to be staying there so, this was a horrible let down for me! I wouldn't recommend staying there to a dog?

The section we stayed in is outdated, with visible water marks from leaks in the ceiling, outdated showers, etc. The mattresses are very firm (not what we're used to), which made my shoulder a little sore. The towels are low quality, and toilet paper is 1-ply. On a positive note, the view of the ocean from the balcony was great, the room was pretty quiet, and the front desk staff were very sweet.

Loved the indoor pool,had a wonderful ocean front view.Very family friendly. Hotel rooms could use some updating ,mattress comfort could use updating.(we managed) Cleanliness of room an 8 out of 10 Loved restaurants and bar lots to do you almost don't have to leave. We would definitely go back.

Loved the location right on the beach. We enjoyed the arcade area. Indoor pool was large but felt it could’ve been cleaner. The room was clean. We liked having the kitchenette area especially with having an infant. I would stay again.

This is my favorite hotel to stay at during bike week. I trailer my bike every year and parking my car and trailer is never a problem. Thats a big plus for me. Very hassle free for the rest of my stay.

Alot of reviewers said they had a bad experience with hotel. We had an oceanfront room in the hotel part. We were on the 4th floor. The AC was kinda funky, and we did need to call for a fan. The AC didn't go below 65°. The indoor pool looked nice, we didn't have time to go. There was a convention going on while we were there, so, they were sold out. The Carousel is an older property, but, its very nice in my honest opinion. The beds were okay. I have a bad left hip, but I was able to get sleep. It's about a 15 minute ride to the Inlet and the main boardwalk area. All said and done, I'd probably stay there again. Just not during Bike Week!

Susie got in there toilet seat was dirty like it was never cleaned. Door latch kept giving us issues that even though the car reader would work the door latch would not. The mattresses seem old need to be updated. The TV set I believe what’s a 1989 remote control didn’t turn on consistently.
