The Space:
This 1939 California beach bungalow sits on a tree-lined street in a quiet neighborhood while remaining within walking distance of the vibrant downtown, and picturesque coast. It was comprehensively redesigned to become a vacation retreat offered by The Urban Nest North County. The designer's signature style shows in this historic coastal bungalow fused with a modern industrial twist. It is our goal is to deliver unique design, blended with authentic hospitality, to each and every guest!

PROPERTY OVERVIEW
Originally built in 1939 and under new, top-notch management, this single-story vacation retreat boasts hardwood floors, an open floor plan, luxury bedding, a full kitchen, stylist furnishings throughout, fenced in yard, outdoor dining patio with a fire table, beach equipment, beach equipment, and Cox Gigablast wifi speed! There are two unique single-family homes on this lot. The front home is an historic bungalow. The back home is a 2-story beach home. The homes share an adjoining wall with housekeeping facilities and storage in between. Each home has is own dedicated laundry facilities.

The CEO of The Urban Nest is one of the top designers in Southern California, and her signature style shows. The CFO of the company has spent his 20-year career as an executive within the luxury hotel space. Together it is their goal to deliver unique design, blended with authentic hospitality, to each and every guest!

CLEANING ACCORDING TO CDC GUIDELINES
Cleanliness has always been of the utmost importance to us! Our Ambassador of Clean oversees the cleanliness of our homes. Through her efforts, we have been given a 5-star review for the cleanliness of our homes from each and every guest that has ever stayed with us over the last 5 years! We are very proud of this. Notwithstanding such, we continue to recognize that extra precautionary measures should be taken following the COVID-19 health crisis. As such, to properly clean and disinfect our homes, we adhere to all Center of Disease Control (“CDC”) recommended guidelines and use only CDC approved products.

LIVING AREA
- Every opportunity to bring in natural light through windows and doors was taken in this home design!
- Recline on a comfortable sofa and two stylish armchairs in the living room while watching a movie on the 45” flat screen smart TV.
- Television content is provided via Hulu TV. Hulu is a entertainment content provider offering live TV via an expanded line up of television network programming, on demand television content, and on demand movies.
- A new HVAC system, complete with air conditioning, keeps guests in control of their comfort throughout the year.
- Complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi is available for Guest Use.

WORKSPACE
- Do you best work remotely! A high counter with stools, complete with convenient USB outlets and great lighting, overlooking the outdoor garden defines on a comfortable workspace.
- Our investment in Cox’s Gigablast service ensures fast and reliable service for all your IT needs.
- While the Keurig machine offers the necessary caffeine for the early or late zoom call of the day, a mid-day stroll on the pier offers a perfect mid-day break.

KITCHEN & DINING
- The kitchen is adorned with butcher block countertops and upgraded stainless steel appliances, including a dishwasher.
- A Keurig machine with complimentary coffee and condiments await guests.
- Kitchen is fully equipped with everything guests may need to enjoy their stay, including grilling tools and a pizza stone for chilly nights or our smallest guest.
- Gather in the dining area with a six-person table and a counter with seating for an additional four.
- The open floor plans allow guests to remain engaged with one another.

BEDROOMS & BATH
- This home accommodates six guests between two bedrooms and a memory foam, queen-size sofa sleeper.
- The full bathroom is stocked complete with a complimentary 5-piece, starter set of toiletries Intended to pamper the guests.
- The bath features a modern glass walk-in shower.
- The master bedroom features a king-size bed complete with luxurious bedding and a signature mattress from the world’s largest luxury hotel.
- The second bedroom has two, twin beds complete with luxurious bedding.
- Bedrooms feature open chrome wired closets for ease of access to guest belongings.
- The memory form, queen-size sleeper sofa and darkening window treatments in the living room is intended to provide the 5th-6th person a quality night’s sleep.
- Ample, high quality linens along with beach towels are provided for guest use.

OUTDOOR AREA
- A fenced yard with a low front patio allow adults and children to enjoy the Cali sunshine and beautiful sunsets.
- Unwind on four Adirondack chairs that surround the modern fire table for relaxing after a trip to the beach or a chilly evening by the fire.
- Enjoy a delicious al fresco meal at the custom table complete with a grill and umbrella intended to provide shade as needed.
- Thoughtful landscaping beautifies the outdoors and outdoor views from within the home.

BEACH EQUIPMENT
Need bikes? Don't rent them! This home provides two beach cruiser bikes with helmets, two boogie boards, two beach chairs, sand toys, a small cooler, and a wagon to tote it all to the famous oceanside pier beach. Please note, the surfboard is not included. We have come to learn that there is not a good one size fits all for a surfboard. Rather, a board must be sized to the individual's height and skill set. LAUNDRY
A full-size washer and dryer with complimentary detergent are provided within the home for guest use.

PARKING
This home has two dedicated parking spaces, off the alley and under a carport, at the rear of the property.

KEYLESS ENTRY
This home is equipped with a smart lock. Upon arrival, easily access the home with a keyless secure door code. The access code provided will not work until after 3:00p time and will not work after 10:00a on your check-out date.

EARLY CHECK-IN OR LATE CHECK-OUT
We have a strict policy that does not allow for early check-ins or late check-outs. We take great pride in the cleanliness and organization of our homes so we need to afford housekeeping enough time to properly prepared for each and every guest!

SECURITY DEPOSIT
We are pleased to have hosted a huge number of respectful and thoughtful guest(s) in the past, however we do have to put this disclaimer out there to protect ourselves against the occasional problematic guest(s). Please be sure to carefully review the House Rules! A $1,000.00 security deposit is required with this reservation, and it is a credit card authorization that is processed prior to or during your stay. This authorization is held for 5-14 days and will expire after your departure only after it is inspected to ensure that the House Rules were strictly followed, all contents of the home are undamaged and in the home, and there is no damage or additional cleaning that is needed to return the home or the contents of the home to the condition that was present prior to your arrival.

RENTAL AGREEMENT
By confirming your booking, you will be entering into a Rental Agreement with The Urban Nest North County. The Rental Agreement will be sent to you approximately two hours after confirmation of your booking. If you have any objections to the terms of the Rental Agreement, you must notify management, in writing, within 24 hours of receipt of the Rental Agreement via the host channel.

Dream Summer Vacay
We didn't know anything about Oceanside and found the place because it's pretty central to legoland and the zoo safari park... but not too close to all the hustle in San Diego. O'side has the perfect vibe we were looking for. Everything you need is within walking distance, and the days we didn't tour the parks were just as happy just not to drive anywhere. This rental is fantastically manicured with great attention to detail. Everything is exactly as it appeared when we reserved. The commodities were really useful... beach gear was great for our son, niece and nephew for playing on the beach. The front porch is really nice. Grilling was super easy, and cooking at home was convenient. So awesome to be able to do laundry and never worry about clothes or towels. We stayed busy and had a blast, and the rental accommodated us perfectly.

Check in was smooth. The house was clean. There is a bright night light in the master bedroom that I unplugged. It turns out to be a Wi-Fi router. The managers know when it is offline and texted me. I plugged it in and put a shirt over it to block the light. The construction in the backyard was not a problem. No noise, they didn’t come before 9:00 as far as we could tell. Street parking was usually fine, but twice we had to park a block down. Walk to the beach was easy. Overall a good experience.

Beautifully Designed Oasis
This place is so cute and every detail has been thought of throughout. The linens were amazing, plenty of towels and everything you would need in the kitchen. The firepit table was nice to sit next to and watch the sunset. Walking distance to coffee and restaurants. I enjoyed my stay and would love to stay again.

Perfect Holiday/Birthday family getaway
This renovated urban bungalow was perfect for our little family getaway. My husband and I planned this trip in celebration of our daughters 13th Birthday this Thanksgiving. She invited her bestie and everyone had plenty of space. After searching for a vacation rental off and on for about a week, I stumbled upon this gem. It was a little futher north than we were searching but I researched O-Side it was perfect. It was a no brainer. I knew I wanted something with a private yard, 2 bedrooms and comfortable family areas that we could play games and eat a meal. And we did just that. Only thing I might recommend are adjustable bike seats. They were WAAAY to high for us three girls and even a bit to high for my 6 ft husband. Oh yea... maybe a mirror in twin bedroom and a larger skillet in kitchen. Otherwise everything was wonderful and perfect! Thank you Jessica. We will be back.

Stay here!
Stay here! The space is beautiful and every little detail has been considered from the beach cruisers provided to a well-outfitted kitchen. The beds and linens are super comfortable and having air conditioning for those hot hot days was really nice bonus. We spent almost every morning out front with our coffee enjoying the neighborhood. We were lucky to snag it for a multiple week stay and the rental truly has everything you need for a weekend get-away or a longer beach trip. You can’t beat the location. The neighborhood is quiet and the rental is a short walk down to the beach or old town Oceanside. Jessica was a joy to work with from the beginning. She was very communicative and the process of booking and check-in was really easy and clear. We will definitely stay here again!
