What I liked was the professional attitude of the staff, especially Miyako-san. I liked that the beds have blinds for privacy.
However, there were times it was noisy. Mostly in the evening and late at night due to the construction sites nearby. I wished they disclosed such information.
Unfortunately, the worst part is the fact that neither the owner in Hokkaido and the interior designer in Tokyo made incredibly clueless uninfomed decisions. They did not consider ANYTHING regarding the neighborhood and surroundings of the hostel they wanted to open. People in the immediate area of the hostel are 99.999% are elderly, retired, and a few homeless elderly. To say the least, despite the look from outside, this hostel was designed with no respect for the local population in mind.
