Tv didn’t work. They sent maintenance; he never returned. They offered to move us into another room if it wasn’t fixed or replaced by end of day, then refused to move us rooms when they hadn’t fixed it. After talking to the front desk, being dismissed after saying they’ll solve it or give another room again, saying I “have time” since I’m staying 3 days, attempts to call the room to tell me they can’t help me, and finally after going back down to the front desk again and not budging, only then were they able to procure another tv and had it installed in under 10. The desk workers were horrible, but the second maintenance man that came was great and nice, inspite of being strapped. Regardless, pay maintenance more.
Well to be honest the hotel smelled like weed through out my entire 2 day stay
Not sure if it was from other guest or the employees. Checking in took way too long.
The towels were very soft and the bed was comfortable. The tv did not work and one of the pendant lights flickered on and off. Most importantly the sliding door to the bathroom didn’t cover the entire opening, which prevented total privacy.
Did not stay because the area is terrible. This hotel has people roaming the parking lot, a homeless encampment next to it and is surrounded by a hotel called “The Biltmore” that has people living in it, loitering outside and most are obvious drug users. Completely unsafe area and do not recommend anyone stay here. Terrible choice of placement for this hotel. We had to find another hotel and chose the Fairmont in Brick Town. It was nice, quiet, clean and has a great breakfast.
Excellent room save for some missing lightbulbs only front half of room had light. Staff was great.

Sketchy area no security found
The hotel itself was nicer on the outside. It had a stain on the floor that looked like a pet urine stain. I wouldn’t walk on the floor barefoot! Only had one set of towels and washcloths. Homeless people all around. I was told there was security there but there was people loitering everywhere. I even had someone knock on my car window when I was leaving for work to ask for money. I left a day early because I was so uncomfortable there.
The hotel next to the Hawthorn had a large number of people standing around. I walked to the Denney's and was approached three times for money on my way back. I was good once I reached the Hawthorn parking lot.
Refer to my other review, the staff here are a major problem, I mean if you don't like people, it dealing with people, than customer service probably isn't a good fit as employment
The staff members have been extremely rude to me it seems like every interaction I've had with them has been negative for no reason other than the staff members attitude and how they acted towards me, and I have been staying here quite frequently here recently. Yesterday morning this staff member starts saying saying something to me in Spanish which I am not fluent in and I told her that I dont understand what she was saying, and then she immediately starts taking the breakfast foods out if ny hands and off if my plate and I couldn't even tell you why ir what was happening, I had to get another staff member to tell me what she was saying to me, which turned out to be asking me if i have a room here, and when i didnt give her the answer that she wanted, she started taking my breakfast away and throwing it into the trash assuming that i didnt have a riom here. Most recently I was talking to the front desk about another issue I've been having between hotels.com and the property, the desk clerk was incredibly rude and belligerent with me and instead of trying to explain the issue to me or try to help me to understand what it was, and when I asked to talk to her supervisor she said that I would have to come down to the front desk to do that and then she hung up on me, I just keep having problems after problem here for no reason if ny doing at all. I don't have lots of people in my room, I don't bother anybody, I don't have any type of traffic coming in and out, it's just me.
