We checked in at 11pm. Upon entering the cottage, I discovered the lock on the front door was broken. It took me 20 minutes to get anyone on the phone. By 2am, the onsite maintenance staff decided it could not be repaired and the entire mechanism needed to be replaced. By 4am, they were able to secure the door. This caused us to miss our 9am engagement the next morning. The door was finally repaired by 4pm the next day. The manager on duty agreed to refund one night of our stay. Upon check out three days later we learned this refund had not been arranged and we wasted another hour of our lives getting our refund. On top of this, the floors were dirty in the cottage and the half bath toilet was dirty. And forget using the phone to get any type of service. You will wait at least 20 minutes to speak with anyone.

If you book through Expedia you do not get any VIP access. The 4 bedroom elite cottage with pool and hot tub was filthy. Floors were gross. Dust everywhere and garbage outside by pool. We were missing pans and spatulas. Pool and hot tub were cold. They give you two Rolls of toilet paper, two laundry detergent pods and one roll of toilet paper. We were very saddened by this Experience. We are owners at Orange lake across the street and I would rate that a much higher level. The gates are open all the time so anyone can get in.

The home that we rented was fully furnished and located right near the pool. Christmas was memorable for my family. We enjoyed our mini vacation. This has been the 4th house I have rented in Margaritaville. I had to do a little cleaning before settling in with family. Overall great spot for shopping, movies and dining out. I definitely will return real soon.

The property is clean, situated in a great location and overall very nice. The pool staff had no clue which pool Was heated, they searched our bags to make sure we didn’t bring any outside food or drink as if we were criminals. The front desk has no clue of what time events are. Property though is safe and clean, but front desk and personnel need better training, especially given they are at a higher price point than other resorts.

The margaritaville hotel and the villas are both beautiful. The lake view is a nice touch. There is only one restaurant on the property with a limited menu, but good food and a poolside bar/grill. You would need to drive up to the hotel to access the pools from the villas. Housekeeping does not come if you are staying in the villas unless you want to pay them. I booked a villa for my family of 5. 2 bedrooms and a pull out sofa. Each room only had one bed and there were no extra linens for the pull out. There was a hole in the ceiling and the master bedroom door could not close/lock. They also do not provide enough toiletries for the stay and the front desk is a drive away and impossible to reach. The only time I was able to get a response, I was on hold for 20 minutes, stayed on hold on my phone and called the hotel front desk on my husband’s phone. The person had to walk to the villa personnel to get a response to my question. Security, however had time and availability to put a tow warning on our rental car for parking crooked, and a little over the line. We do not park that way as a habit, but we didn’t bother to fix it because the villas were clearly not all occupied and this was our third night without parking neighbors.

The house was great. The hotel & pool were also great. The check in was my only complaint, I went to rentyl desk like I was emailed to do, they sent me to another check in. The guy at that check in had us wait & got another guy to check us in. The guy who checked us in mumbled & acted as though we were bothering him. He did not give us any extra info on hotel or activities. We asked about our complementary rum punch but he said it was over for the day.
