We recently stayed at the APA Shin Osaka Eki Tower. It was a bit hard to find the hotel since the nearby train station was huge and it was difficult to find the correct exit. We appreciated the fact that the hotel was eco-friendly. Also breakfast was available on the top floor which offered breath-taking views of the area. The rooms were clean although a bit noisy when the trains sped by. There several restaurants and a Family Mart nearby. Overall a convenient place to stay.
The staff was extremely rude and the room smelled terrible. I found hair in the bed and the pillows smelled like someone had worked out and used it as their sweat towel.
I like that the Yodogawa Park is 1/2 mile away. I go there every other day and run 8 miles.
What bothered me at the hotel was that the room safe indicated that the batteries were weak. So I pulled the 4 batteries out and went to the front desk to get another set. The manager asked where I got the batteries from and I told him from the safe and can I get a fresh set. He then told another worker to go with me to my room and to change out the batteries. We went back to the room and the person replaced the batteries but I told him to wait and I tested the safe. It did not work. I pulled the batteries out and reinserted it properly. The worker then asked me to give him the old batteries. I told him that I gave it to the front desk. He said ok and left. I was so insulted by how this manager treated me. He asked where I got the batteries from, had to send a worker to check the safe and then he did it wrong. The last 2 times I had weak batteries, I went to the front desk and the woman, 2 times just gave me the batteries after I told her it was from the safe. I also have to say that I have stayed at this hotel at least 15 times and this is the first time that I was treated badly.
Great hotel but very confusing to find hotel from train station the first time even though close to the station. I got lost and ended having to grab a cab. By the 3rd time, it was okay…
The room is very hot and we were told air conditioner is centrally controlled. We had to open the window but unfortunately being near to highway and also next to train track, was really noisy. Otherwise, the hotel is very good.
The property was clean and staff helpful but our room was very noisy due to being close to train station.

I woke up with the room sweltering with heat
The guest has no control over whether or not the air conditioning produced hot or cool air
Apparently this is relatively common in Japan although the website made no obvious mention of this
they provided a portable AC unit that got me through the night
That said if you like to sleep cool like me stay somewhere else
