Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
When I am in Japan, Unizo is one hotel that I stay at. Im in Japan right not and have stayed at them for more than 25 days now. I was a little disappointed at this one looked a little tired and needs a clean up and renovation. The carpet in the lobby was very worn. Elevator doors needed to be cleaned. No upgrades for my staying so many days, which is dissappointing.
Overall was a good hotel which I got for a good price. The room was nice and so was the customer service and staff. The only thing that annoyed me was the fact that there were only 2 washing machines in the whole hotel. Because of that I would struggle to be able to do my laundry because the washing machines were always occupied. It also seems like someone had last left there clothes in one of the washing machines (they are password locked) so the whole hotel essentially had to share one machine for laundry, which is ridiculous. Aside from that, everything else was great.
This hotel is so well run. I can complain about other things in Osaka, but passing the threshold in the hotel, total sanctuary, excellent value, restful sleep.
The Staff here at this hotel was very very accommodating. I had a visitor and they helped me as an interpreter to our discussion. I don't know what I would have done without them.
Room is tidy and spacious compared to other same price range hotels. What I always love is their breakfast! It might be boring to some non Japanese because there are almost zero western foods but there are variety of Japanese foods which is 10/10 to me. This place is definitely my regular place (when the price is not sky high!)
In terms of service, I wouldn't say it's bad but hard to say good. I don't feel kindness/friendliness from them but at least they do their job with no failure. It might be different depending on people though.
A double room does not accommodate 3, there is no room for a put up bed. For those used to travelling in europe where little ones are accommodated in double rooms it doesn't work like that!! Nice hotel with lots of amenities close by and very close to the tube for getting around, in a quiet part of town.
Room was'nt cleaned well, greasy spots lots of places, Room was'nt ventilated or freshned up, i ordered at smoker room yes, but it smelled like 20 people from Marlboro had been testsnoking for 20 hours before i came. The room was out of fashion, warn down, some of the interior was falling apart, hinges and stuff, vindow could almost not open because safetystop was broken. Vendingmachine in hallway was broken, no response from personel. Breakfest was poor, almost everything was out of stock, the one thing that was'nt out of stock was stinky fish. It stank all the way down to the table furthest away. Generally about the personel, aparently there only function was to look pretty behind the check-in counter. All in all, a really bad experience, i hope this review goes all the way to the owners of the hotel chain. Is this really the standard they want to present to theire costumers ?
