Restaurant’s availability of dishes was poor and were lacking the option of the majority of the main menu, with cold mashed potatoes and a very slow service.

Amazing views and nothing else
The hotel its self is beautufull but a shame about some on the levels of service i was greated by a host aand given the wrong room where we went and dropped our bags off. After half an hour while walking through the lobby it was pointed out by the staff and had to get our bags and move them to our room. Later that night we wanted to have a cocktail to be told by the bar man that he didnt have the ingredients or has not been on a cocktail corse so will "try and do his best" and to top it off some guy just stood in the loby in his boxers

We were a little frustrated having arrived earlier than the normal 3pm check in time, due to having arrangements to meet others at 4pm in Otley, that we did not get access to our room until after 3.30pm. Reception kindly offered us a complimentary drink though and the staff are lovely. Steve in the Leisure Club deserves a special shout out! He is fantastic and really friendly and cheerful guy who loves his job, which radiates from him. Hotel is really nice and leisure club has everthing you need to chill out and unwind. Although for some bizzare reason they now restrict guest access to 7am - 10am and 8pm - 9pm which clashes with breakfast time and if you wish to go in the afternoon, they apply an expensive charge of c.£20 which is a slap in face when you've already paid a lot for your cabin! Breakfast was great, lots of choice and staff again lovely. Overall enjoyed celebrating our 22nd Anniversary, but unlike 10th anniversary when we stayed and we got few nice touches like some fizz and chef doing us a desert with congrats in sauce, this time no gestures received (despite my note on the reservation)

I thought the room was expensive for the standard of the one I stayed in, especially if you do not make use of the spa which was free to residents for certain hours during the day.

We’ve stayed previously and had a lovely clean cabin but this time I can’t say the same. Hair, stains, bits on the floor, smelled. Just overall not a great room. Improvement on the food however.

Staff were very polite and helpful. Only negative comment would be that for someone away on business, the TV's in the rooms are tiny.

Very honest
I personally think the cabin we stayed in was a little bit run down and needs some attention.when we arrived the cabin smelt very musty/stale after leaving the windows open it was a little better. Very dissapointed as it wasnt cheap for 2 nights. The area is lovely though.

We wouldn’t recommend and won’t be returning.
It was fine. Food was bad. For dinner I ordered a Sea Bass dish which came with dollops of gravy. Which for me, sounds and was very strange and it was bland. The ragu pasta was a bowl on inedible mush. We did advise the waitress of this. ‘Cooked’ breakfasts was luke warm. Both days. Avoid. Water pressure in the shower was low making showering take an age. Our bathroom door in our room creaked and was outrageously loud. It woke us up if either was up in the night (we stayed for 2 nights and both had experience of this). The walls / ceilings in the general hotel area aren’t well soundproofed. We could hear people in the room above us quite clearly. I imagine our Bathroom door disturbed them too. The hotel is also near the airport (nothing that could be done about that) but the lack of soundproofing meant planes flying over could be heard quite loudly - Enough to wake you up. You should be aware that this is a Hotel with a Pool / Gym area, rather than a Spa; It is a far cry from that. And the pool ‘spa’ area was filthy. Overall we had a ok time. The surroundings are nice. The staff were polite and friendly. We wouldn’t recommend and won’t be returning.

Very peaceful location for adults and dog friendly
Lovely short break and very handy for Leeds Championship Dog Show. The only thing l would say is the bar is very small and that is the only place you can eat with your dog. Dogs not allowed to be left in the lodges unattended which l understand. We have already booked again for another nearby show. Looking forward to it!!

Woodland room was nice, fit our needs slightly dated and outside area did need cleaning/ wiping before we arrived but hadn’t been. The spa was fine however definitely needed a clean the chasing room was full of dirty towels and robes all over the floor and sides. Now we’re to actually get changed. Floor around pool was mucky too needed more regular cleans. Was given an end cabin we’re all the dirty linen is kept so a lorry arrived early to take so lots of noise, we also had a storage room next to ours and I was woken but people banging around it in. I would stay again for a place to stay but wouldn’t recommend for long stays
