Sorry, your expectations were not met, but I think that your review is very unfair, sir. And a different tune as you came in without your wife, looked around (including the shower room) and said everything was fine. We also discussed parking as you had arrived 3hrs before the advertised check-in time. I explained everything exactly as it is on my website and am meticulous in letting my guests know that parking in Oxford anywhere is challenging. You would have discovered this in the emails that are automatically sent to you which you did not read. As soon as your wife entered she declared "this is not a hotel" so clearly your expectations were not met this being a B&B. And therein lies the problem. How you know what the breakfast arrangements are like in my kitchen diner, I would not know, because as you say you did not stay. I would recommend The Old Bank Hotel or The Randolf Hotel on your next trip to Oxford. Bye the way a small personal establishment like myself cannot afford or need air-conditioning for the weather conditions we get every 30yrs here in the UK. The two hotels mentioned will have air-conditioning, and of course, at three times the cost I would charge.
